@tqmar it’s a relationship that is not romantic but beyond what most people recognise as platonic. So whilst there’s no romance, there’s generally a lot of commitment to one another and a lot of emotional intimacy ☺️

probably my favorite thing about Akitoya (and Anhane) is that for 99% of interactions with them you could literally exchange the word "Partner" with Boyfriend/girlfriend/a label of the sort, and everything would still make sense and feel natural. That's pretty much the only thing that separates them from canon by clpl (which if you think about it Partner can also be used as Lover. Why would they choose an "ambiguous" term if they didn't intend to represent them as a couple?) Vivid bad squad is literally two words away from being a group of a gay couple and a lesbian couple in solidarity, and I think that's amazing
I love Mizuki's friendship with Toya and Akito and (somtimes) Tsukasa. I loved that one pjsekai anthology that had them just going around and doing stuff like a mismatched group of weird friends. Aaargh, I wish more people wrote about this group in fanfiction spaces!!! Their dynamic is so fun!!! Most people focus on intergroup friendships though. 😭 Or maybe they're just having some mercy on Mizuki and Tsukasa, the poor third wheels lmaooo
