BUSY HALF HOUR of Chicago O'Hare Planespotting | May 2024

- Chicago O'Hare was ranked as the ninth-busiest airport in the world in 2023. When in the ORD area for the Chicago Airline Collectibles Show, I and some friends decided to spot for a few hours after. We were there for about three hours and caught a bunch of great action. As @ohareplanespotting put it, we saw just about anything that could happen at ORD happen in that period.
Included in this spotting compilation are both the FIRST and LAST Boeing 747-8s ever built, a go-around, and a runway closure among the diverse array of planes spotted. Shoutout to @Redriveraviation for also being there for the action!
HIGHLIGHTS
01:10 The LAST 747 Built
04:25 Cargolux 747 GO-AROUND
15:40 FedEx 757 Close-Up
25:20 RWY 10C Closes

Hopefully, you can visit SFO one day & spend a day planespotting like I usually do multiple times a week lol
10:01 I spotted that exact Aer Lingus A332 at YYZ back in April 😮
Have you ever plane spotted at ATL?
Only from the terminal, I’ve yet to leave the airport for proper spotting.
At 13:30 I actually flew on N14016 from Rome to Chicago on may 21st (yesterday) on UAL971. Cool that you caught the exact plane I flew on a few weeks later
amazing video, was a great time spotting!
Hey I’m Leslie, just curious any chance you’ll be out spotting July 5 around 3:30pm?
@@LeslieT223 unfortunately no, I won’t be back in Illinois till the 6th
Epic video bro hop Emirates start flying a380 to ord . But nice to see the Qubet reg 777w in ord
Queen ❤
Great capturing 🤩
757😍
Amazing
Do you have any plan to come back to Pakistan?
6:43 Emirates shining like crazy 😍
any chance the 380 is going to come back to ORD
Likely not. British moved operations to Terminal 3 due to Oneworld connectivity. Emirates doesn’t have enough demand and Lufthansa operates out of T1 which has no A380 gate. Gate M17 at T5 is the only A380 gate at O’Hare.
