You beat Genichiro Ashina with only 2 attack power and, let me see, 5 healing gourds....and you wonder whether or not you’re good at the game!? Seriously man, kudos! That’s impressive
I know, right? Nath must have been putting a lot of hours into Sekiro when he's playing at home as well as at work. I can't wait to see how he does in Ni-Oh 2 when it comes out.
I had three attack power and 13 vitality. However Genichiro is a boss that you get used to. In my finaly attempt i got through his first life without getting hit at all because i knew his patterns
I'll be honest a lot of the bosses aren't too hard once you get used to it. I beat the armored knight on my 3rd go, but I had deathblow him in my previous attempts but didn't realize you have to knock him off. Lady Butterfly I beat her first attempt. It's not insanely hard until the + mode. The enemies are made for you to learn the combat. Just saying, still Nath is actually a monster at this game tho real talk!!
The game explicitly tells you when you get the loaded shuriken that it is primarily useful against aerial enemies, so yes, you are intended to use them against Lady Butterfly.
When I figured out Lady Butterfly I was almost mad at myself it was so easy. I feel like a LOT of the bosses are that way. Except Snake Eyes, so far. I friggin hate them.
Idk if someone else has already commented this, but you can unlock chasing slice to follow up a shuriken throw with an immediate attack. You can use this to interrupt lady butterfly when she’s jumping and score posture damage on her. Might make the fight a little easier. You did really well though! Also, you definitely should give sekiro a try, Rob
45:00 If you have a problem with the Snake Eyes you can just go to the fort, rest there, then kill everyone (if you don't their shot will make Snake warry, they are fairly easy and quick to stealth kill anyway, nice exp too), go back to the Snake Eyes, use the stealth candy and slowly creep behind him and take one bar of his HP off, then it should not be too difficult to kill if you have full 16 spirit thingy to use your prosthetic, you can blind him, or burn him or if you have unlocked the shadow rush then it will be even easier As for lady Butterfly you can cheese it with as the guy in the chat said, dodge to the side and attack, timed correctly it will stagger her and you can repeat it for a bit to shave off a huge chunk of HP, or just git gud and fight properly, it isn't that hard once you got the dodge and parry down and use shuriken properly also 51:30 that move actually very good in certain circumstance but fairly useless most of the time, it only affects the enemy near you that are caught up by the smoke and it cost 6 spirits to pull off, you can do a better job using the Abduction for half the cost to kill tough mobs, the only really good use I found for the move is to kill a tough mob that is not quite a mini boss that cannot be one shot using the abduction, the guy give you 734 exp and 120 zen iirc, he is kinda tough to kill in straightforward manner and difficult to stealth kill by design of the area, you can bait him and get a mob to be near him, use abduction to the mob and backstab the mob, this could activate your ninjutsu and with the smoke it will stun the guy and you can kill him swiftly, I haven't test this on mini boss but if it work it would be awesome, since the tough guy although able to respawn behave similarly to a miniboss mechanic wise
the poison blade is what snake eyes is weak to, the people in the gun fort are the Okami women’s warrior tribe, and the description for the poison blade tells you it was used to drive them back long ago. even on block poison attacks will add to the poison effect. also, yes, snake eyes is a woman. also she is in my opinion the hardest mini-boss in the game so good luck with beating her. also also, there are 2 snake eyes in the game. good luck with that as well. loved the stream, love the game. hope you guys upload more sekiro soon.
I have defeated two of my dualshock controllers so far, smacking them onto the floor. That was easy, but I have learned alot... check my gameplay, have some strategies for snake eyes and some more enemies
How or why is Nathan always out of spirit emblems? Whenever im close to a new boss i spend my few sen at the sculpture for them. At the end of my 1st playthrough i had like 900 of them :o
@@aaronoosterbeek2461 You dont have to. There are plenty just floating around in the world for you to pick up. But if you heavily use your tools they arent enough. Besides that they are really really really cheap.
A word of note about the description, even though it's really pedantic- the protagonist is a shinobi, not a samurai. I think there's even a textbox in the game something along the lines of "only a shinobi could utilize this. Even samurai can't" or something like that
Lol go to sleep. Nah Dark souls 2 memories during college.... Can't sleep til I kill boss!!!! Hard classes, when I'm going to bed at 5 waking at 6 or 7.... Think that was my favorite one though. Worth it.

I lured him to the very back right of the arena. There's a little corner. I found that he was easier when there was less wind up to his attacks being in that small space. I jumped like crazy, kicking off the walls to avoid his attacks. It still wasn't easy though.
Thanks I took him down after a day of tries. Jumping didnt help. Running like crazy did. Totally missed the firecrackers at 1st. They did make it a lil easier. Now I'm into the next seemingly impossible subboss/boss.
All I did was spam the skill nightjar strike I think called it stun locks for like ten to twenty hits mean you can usually just go through most the boss just pressing two button
Game doesn't interest me, looks like a remake of Onimishu, feudal Japan is to brown and dull, ( my own opinion, can see the game has merit for others) id prefer to play darksouls or bloodborne as the enemies are more interesting .
Dan Williams considering you called it Onimushu and not its real name, Onimusha, i’d say you’ve never played Onimusha. also you probably just got stuck at a boss somewhere in this game and gave up, but honestly this game is just completely different from Dark Souls or Bloodborne. also this is not a “brown game”, just like Dark Souls doesn’t all take place all in one grey castle, and bloodborne doesn’t all take place in a grey victorian era village, this game doesn’t take place in a monotone or similar area, in fact there are many different and legitimately beautiful areas in this game. if you actually have beaten Dark Souls or Bloodborne, and I think you haven’t, you would love this game. if you tried it I’m sure you would love it.

A four minute delay ... that’s my entire year ruined.
Oh, wait a minute, “Nathan Dies Twice”?? Year’s back on track!
Nathan's rage is so polite 😂

So frustrating being late to this. How do you miss that window? He said open the window! Open the EFFING WINDOW!

I'm surprised that Nathan and Rob didn't realise that the Guardian Ape looks like Kratos from the God of War series.

whats the closer game to onimusha, sekiro or nioh?

Nioh definite with the different weapons and spirits etc.
Use the power of the Christmas Elf :)

masterofshadowfire as in sprint around her in circles so she can’t hit you with anything but the perilous attack and chip away at her? Yep.
