No i thouvht too..but u need to get 657 or 7xx series to have the second scan element on top. They said two sided copy ...meaning u scan one side and u can copy it on both ides of the copy jajaja silly lies marketing . Shame on cankn. Already used my orinter csnt return

@@rumorscameras Correction it's the next model up 656 that does 2-side scanning in one pass. It also has fax capabilities otherwise both 654 and 656 are identical. I own both.

But you doesn’t show that it’s scan both side
