So great to have these as an art teacher during the stay at home learning. I play your video muted to the class through Zoom and narrate it with my usual rap, which fits with what you're doing to a tee. Thanks.
omg!! how looong i have been looking for that kind of a rule.. THANK YOU a million times.. now, this is a confident artist who knows perfectly what he's doing..
This is a really awesome tutorial for beginners like myself! I love how you took the time to explain and demonstrate each thing in as simple a way as possible, You have saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you.
This is a help, but what I actually want is to draw spacing based on known distances for more precision. Utility poles of ~100' spacing for example. I don't know if that's what they are but it's a beginning hypothesis. I also know that they're usually 30' above ground but I don't know if that's a useful parameter or not. The main point being that I don't want to guess the location of pole #2 for establishing the vanishing point line. Any ideas outside of holding up a ruler if drawing directly from the scene? Thanks!

Thank you.
Thanks, this is a huge help!

Perspective can become so analytical though. There's always a fence post or tree in the background that's taller than the one in front.
Sizes may differ, but this is only for placement, u can always make a more distant object bigger or so
