Disney got away with demolishing a great masterpiece. I'm sure they announced its demise close (less than a month) to the the closing date because they knew it would create an uproar. I remember all the fans standing around weeping & sitting on the ground for long periods of time getting one last look at the beautiful attraction sign & exterior. RIP GMR.
My hope is that when Hollywoodland in California Adventure gets it’s inevitable overhaul they can bring this back. A perfect fit there and it’ll be a legitimate reason to put all of this FOX IP to use
I loved this ride! This ride will always have a special place in my heart! The last time I rode this ride Alien slime fell into my pockets, I was filled with so much joy and happiness for the day to come!
Though this ride was great, not even TCM's sponsorship and Robert Osborne's narration could save it from its' inevitable closure. I think this ride would be a good candidate for the many theme park history channels on RUclips, because it's been closed for four years.
