    You are right Hoon. I have them both and use them daily. My daughter wanted the MH3W to use for her machine. Thank you for letting us all know.

    I have a Normcore tamper and hope to know how it goes in next day or 2. Just got my Lagato Espresso Machine today from Espresso Outlet... Will unbox and try it tomorrow.😁😀😊

    Great video! I would love to see normcore roll out thicker precision bases that can be bought alone to go on existing handles. I really don't see why the base can't be thick on a self leveler, it would make the push down just a hair easier and if precise then there should be a really clean basket wall too. Upgrade when you want without creating more waste could be a nice model for them to work from. Also giving the option to start affordable but swap specific parts later to upgrade if wanted.

    Hello, can I ask, I have a Barista Pro I use a dosage of 16g in PF and that means I need the 54mm one, BUT will the Nomcore reach down that far to do what it needs to do? You use an 18g dosage and have no issues with it making contact with the coffee in the PF so before ordering wanted to check with you the Mighty Hoon. Cheers.

    I have the 54mm MHW-3Bomber. I really like it, but it did come apart after a couple months. I was able to fix it, but I hold my breath every time I use it now.

    I've got this MHW tamper. Fits nice and tight in breville basket but loose in IMS Big Bang basket. Same woble as original BBE tamper in BBE basket.

    Just bought myself a Normcore with a smooth base. Liked that it comes with 3 different strength springs, though I do like the Mhw-3bomber's clicking sound. Happy so far. Also got a mhw-3bomber puck screen, so spreading the love amongst these two brands.

    Got a normcore high flow precision filter basket. 40 bucks compared to some of the others ie wafo / Weber / sworks / Pullman. Very happy with the results so far. Or at least I’ll say: my good shots are much better and my bad shots are much worse, haha. So I’m assuming once I’m adept at using it I’ll have consistently better coffee

    I have Normcore, love it. but I would consider IKAPE on this price range as well

    • @kevinburola889
      @kevinburola889 9 месяцев назад +2

      I have the Ikape and there’s quite a bit of play in the shaft and the plate that it doesn’t tamp very level. This also causes grinding of the shaft . I can not recommend this product.

    MHW3B also has a more rare 4 base kit option. It has a screw base adapter with 4 bases that screw on. This includes Ripple, Waffle, Flat and Convex in the kit. I had to get it on Ali.

    I have the Pesado and recently I got a MHW3 Bomber, imho, the Pesado gives me better results, for some reason, I get channeling with the MH3 from time to time

      Once to own the right technique on traditional tamper, the traditional is a solid choice.

    I wish mhw3 would make a flat base with titanium coating, but they only have rippled.

    • @3rd-Wave_Rebel

      I got the ripple base for aesthetics. Flat base is flat out boring. Puns intended.

      @@1101naomiIt makes no difference but the ripple one is cooler looking than the traditional flat base.

    I want a spring loaded self levelling tamper with a textured face plate for use with Breville infuser.
    Is there a good but affordable 54m tamper with the features I like that you know of? Thanks

  • @loughrey101
    @loughrey101 3 месяца назад +1

    MH3 Bomber is way better than the Normcore. It has more features and also has a titanium option. Normcore needs to catch up with a new version.

    • @3rd-Wave_Rebel
      @3rd-Wave_Rebel 13 дней назад

      But MHW3bomber doesn’t have the 58.55mm. All of their product lineup are 58.35mm for some reason. Normcore has 58.55mm and also has the titanium coated tamper with the ripple base. I have one and it’s great! I’m waiting for my first MHW3bomber cyclone WDT.

    • @dejedejsson
      @dejedejsson 6 месяцев назад

      No, there is a significant difference,Bomber tamper works like a torque wrench, Normcore doesn't, it only provides a resistance, put both tampers against the table and tamp and you will understand the difference, even Hoons don't understand how Bomber works.

    • @loughrey101
      @loughrey101 5 месяцев назад

      They're not the same. Different springs, titanium coating, different pressure resistance etc. will give different results
