The middle act was a let down for me, dragged too long when they were in the house arguing. Plus the script had her cussing like a 15 year old and was unrealistic. And yea I didn’t care about the end like that, I didn’t feel anything for her
Mike hit it on the head. Two players are trying to play each other. And the love that doesn't exist. Why do I care? What are the stakes? You need stakes, even in a comedy. The stakes in this film do not exist. That, and the multiple glaring errors and plot holes (for a thin version of plot). Vanya doesn't speak English. Then he spends the end of the first act and the third act speaking nothing but English? Ani gave up a blossoming career as a stripper to get $25,000 plus whatever that ring costs for a week with a silver spoon nitwit. Poor baby. She is a hustler. Did she really give up her street instincts and believe this marriage was real? When Vanya clearly said he was marrying her for the green card? At no point in this painful screening did I believe he loved her and she loved him. I did not buy the writing. It's okay to avoid plot, but you cannot avoid logic and plot by hiding behind a few tantrums, lamp crashes, vomits, and car crashes. Oh, and by the way, this is the garage with all of my parent's ultra-luxury automobiles. We don't need anything from this garage, except for Vanya to say "I'm not allowed to drive any of these cars." But Vanya can drain tens of thousands of dollars and max out his parent's credit cards and fly private jets to Vegas. But Vanya can't use the cars. And Vanya will respect that. This film is a stew of stink situations, with lots of sex and parties that will distract you. HATED THIS. Thank you, Mike.
Agree on all 3 of yalls points, but im on dude in the bottoms wave... The Comedy was just not it and Childish.. Vomit and dude talking with his mouth full supposed to be funny? Thats Despicable Me level jokes

Despicable Me had a plot. The plot of this was finding Waldo. Wealthy, privileged, annoying video game-playing Waldo.
