I have this camera and I can honestly say that it is the best, most exciting bit of kit I have ever used. The dynamic range is just so impressive. The quality of the images are just different from anything else. I also have the Fuji x-pro 2 and the Nikon DF but I reach for the Leica every time. Off to New York next week and I know which camera I will be taking with me.

Hey guys, interesting review, thanks. As a much less expensive alternative, I would suggest the Ricoh GR. Comes with a 28 mm/f 2.8 fixed lens. Fast, silent, and very discreet camera with very good IQ (not full frame though, but APS-C). And you can shove it in the pocket of your pants.
It comes with the lens !!

I have a 5d Mark II and some alien bees lights with hotshoe mount triggers, do you know if you can get radio triggers for the Leica Q to trigger off camera flash?
after i see image comparsion at Dpreview, it much better than Conan 5D Mark MCMXXVI
What memory card does it use? Does it require a fast memory?
Very intresting video ! You say that the quality of the photo's is outstanding, ... are they JPG's right out of the camera ? I am intrested to buy a Leica Q, but I am hesitating on the timing. The "Q" will be soon there for 2 years, ... is the Leica Q "2" coming out soon ? Please share your ideas/feelings with me about this matter. Thanks alot ! Greetz, Roger, Antwerp, Belgium.
Tuftufclub if you think this way then you never buy any thing because technology are changing every year more and more new products coming out , life too short my friend just buy it ,enjoy it rather than just seat and wait , with what the current Leica Q today for me it is still usable in next 10 years . 24mp , 28mm summilux crop lens 35mm &50mm , very fast af , hd video, good low light shooting ,overall this almost like a mini professional camera you can use in almost every occasional and perfect camera for travelling.
the Leica Q, 2 is now the Leica CL with Interchangeability....lots to choose from too!

Im really suprised this isnt like a very big channel with thousands of subs. The quality is really good , strong pictures and you guys are pleasant to look and listen too.
So keep it up and i think this channel could become really succesfull.
Get a Fuji xpro-2 with 23mm f2 or f1.4 for a quarter of the cost and 99% of the image quality.
video on this camera is amazing
i have this camera and also the Sony RX1R II and the Sony is a better camera, better dynamic range and renders better detail etc.
Dave Seekers and how's the battery life for the Sony as compared to the Leica? :P
The Leica has much better battery life.
Sam what happened, you literally destroy this camera on you web page, and here your telling is the best compact camera!!!!
I had one and sold it after 5 days. Terrible colours and white balance. Lots of noise at high ISO. Fast AF but it focuses on random things. Never had so many out if focus shots with other cameras. All shots are half a stop underexposed. Great leans though. I wish I could use that lens on a Fuji.
You dropped a huge amount of money on a new Leica model without a thorough walk through demo session at retailer(s) to see if it meets expectations? Seems all the more ludicrous and and a tad embarrassing then to throw the rattle out of the pram because it didnt deliver the heavens.
