- This is my fan tribute to Prince Hector of Troy and Princess Andromache of Thebes from the epic movie Troy, with clips of the director's cut (so with rare HA scenes). I had to create this video because this couple is by far my favorite from the Iliad and from the movie, and because Eric Bana and Saffron Burrows are both two of my fav actors, and there is an HUGE and beautiful chemistry between them. They're so touching and cute, I love them together, and wish I could see them together in another movie in the future :)

Andromache is an amazing woman. You can tell that she had strength throughout the movie. Perfect balance of inner strength yet still exhibiting feminine kindness and beauty. The fact that she attracted hector as her husband speaks volumes of her strength and character/ caliber of a woman. I feel so sorry that she suffered the loss of Hector, she deserved it the least
that comment is so true.
As much as I hated reading the Iliad, book 6 was actually really touching because it shows the reality of war; no heroes or epic battles, just men with families at home dying and leaving lonely wives and kids who'll grow up without a parent.

I liked her for her selflessness and the way she observed and held down her husband
the way she told him that she already lost her 7 brothers, let alone everyone else that she lost, I loved how she said she cannot lose her own husband and she won't survive without him. I love that scene who agrees?

Even the Iliad even shows the tenderness between Hector and Andromache. In an instance, Hector has to take off his helmet adorned with a horsehair crest as it frightens their baby boy Astyanax, something that his wife finds sort of amusing, and he embraces her and their son, a wholesome family moment in literature
