I have never made potato cakes but I sure do love them. I will definitely be making this probably for dinner because I have some mashed potatoes left over from yesterday, and I have some white bread.
@@TheCooknShare I made these tonight, and they were so yummy. I love how they're crunchy on the outside and kind of soft on the inside. You do have to be careful with the mashed potatoes though and not have them too creamy
Dave my friend , great recipe & absolutely yes on us & the girls . I am going to put some fresh diced chives in mine out of my garden. We are Irish so taters = yes , & hillbilly milk is cow juice, lol, those look delicious. Keep your stick on the ice pal.
Hey Steve. They are good. Love the idea of chives. I have to plant some in my garden. Love the cow juice. That goes in my hillbilly dixaberry. Hope you guys are well down there and see you at the lodge.
@TheCooknShare Dave , the chives are great & stay fresh even in very cool weather , they are good here for 8-9 months from early spring to late autumn/early winter, glad you like the cow juice , lol, see you at the lodge pal , bring duct tape as Red used it all again , lol
It's not that much work to be honest. And some foods should not always be made entirely from scratch. This is something you can repurpose when you already have mash potatoes and some bread lying around. It'll save time and still be delicious You can also add a bit more filling with different ingredients and make it worth it your tastebuds

Dave, your potato recipe is just absolutely perfect every single time.

Looks grrrrrrrreeeeeeaaat!!
Just wondering, do you save your oil and reuse it? I guess I am just wondering if that is unhealthy or not a big deal.
Hey there. Yes, I do sometimes. I really depends on what I cook in it. I do like fresh oil though. It lessens in viscosity every time you use it.
I want to try this. Just need bread crumbs.
Well worth while making. Hope you try it.
How Tik Tok of you Dave... I just add some seasonings to panko, but looks great Dave... Done... Ded 😊
Yes, that works too. Just trying to keep it as simple as possible. Hope you are well.

Don’t think so on that one. Been at this 14 years
