Hi folks I see that you are engaging in one of my favourite pass times.
It gives people a clear indication about how healthy the marine environment is the area.
Unfortunately in many areas around the UK.. the marine environment is in serious decline..in many parts people are warned about eating any sort of shellfish that has not been processed.. first..???
Anyway folks what can I say about your videos other than brilliant.. they are always been very informative and interesting..
Anyway folks stay safe and well.and thanks for taking the time to post them.for people to see.👍👍👍

We are very fortunate for now at least that we have very clean waters here keeping the sea life around the shores thriving. As long as we keep it that way and don't get to greedy there will be plenty of shellfish for now and the future.

Brilliant that , haven't been rock pooling for years, going to Bridlington(Sewerby end) in May & this has inspired me greatly.

Nice update thanks guys. Good haul of Ormers over the 2 days. I like your new furry friend too! Are collars not a legal requirement in Guernsey?
    Stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍

No. Many people have spaniels here as they use to be used as gundogs some still are.

Also may I add, I'm reading a book at the moment. How To Read Water by Tristan Gooley. The reference to High & Low pressure affecting the tide is amazing as it mentions it in the afore mentioned book.

Tide times are only predictions and numerous things can affect them like pressure so knowing how conditions will affect the tides on a particular day can be a great help shore or boat.

I think the spaniel belongs to Smash Fishing and is called Smash, an untrained, unruly dog who Smash Fishing thinks will run away in pursuit of seagulls while at the beach! He just produced a video with Smash on a lead on the beach helping foraging. I'm sure it's Smash! 🙄

This one was a much older dog that belonged to a guy foraging ahead of us. He said if the dog was being a nuisance he would call it away. It was no problem the dog was friendly and just being inquisitive.

This comment is funny 🤣 true jealous hater 👌
Just for your information, smash is 2 years old, went under 2 surgeries over 6 months an can still pick clams out the sand an give them to me , the first day in months he’s been down the beach foraging 👌
You run your mouth all you like little man but that dog is amazing , his recall and least work will not take long to get back now he’s fit an healthy.
P.s great video Troy 🦀🦀🎣 always a good watch 🦀

Climbing around rocks gives your gear a real workout, sharp stones barnacles etc, so what's the current waders brand and is there a make you think is ok ?

Mine are Trakker N2 Chest Waders and Rebecca's are Dirt boot waders both have been really good. Shakespeare are the ones I would stay away from they just randomly leak. I have also heard Vass waders are pretty good but cost a bit more.

They have a unique flavour I cannot really compare them to anything. So far the people I have cooked them for have loved them. They would be in my top 5 foods.

Many years ago I used to set the the mother of pearl into silver earrings necklaces and so on. I also used to send some to a German Violin maker. These days most just go into the vegetable garden to break down.
