- Today we dive into English alt rock band RADIOHEAD. "Let Down" was a promo single released in September 1997 from their third studio album OK COMPUTER. It was also included on Radiohead: The Best Of (2008).
What Do Ya'll Think ?!
The more you hear it the more you get it. The more you get it the more you find yourself falling in love with Radiohead.
Yesssss
We are definitely excited about the Journey ahead with this band 😎
The harmonies at the end are my favorite part, they just give me the chills every time
I would suggest listening to full albums with Radiohead. Their albums are really built to be well constructed emotional rides. I'd start with The Bends or OK Computer and then if you like it, explore Kid A and beyond where things become much more experimental.
Let Down is my fav. Nice pick for first time radiohead's song, this song will comfort you, in happy and sad moments.
Very interesting pick off of this album to play. Love the song and the harmonies. Especially the last verse.
let down is underrated
Ahhh the lyrics, the sound, what a song! I find this one so sad and happy at the same time... Great reaction, I am glad you are getting into my favorite band, you will not regret listening to more Radiohead, trust me.
Thx William, we can't wait to dive into more Radiohead 😎 We are starting from scratch and know it will be a fun journey 😎
In my top 3 songs of all time. Each time I hear it I disappear for several minutes into its world.
I will always sub for Radiohead reactions they are one of the few bands that people will probably listening to 30 years from now.
Radiohead really like to experiment, would be great for you to dig out more, the rabbit hole is endless with this band.
Songs i would like you to react to (very hard to choose) : Karma Police, There There, Just, Paranoid Android, Street Spirit (Fade Out), Reckoner, Nude, Fake Plastic Tree, How To Disappear Completely, Motion Picture Soundtrack.
All excellent suggestions
I’m a very long time Radiohead fan. Interesting choice for a first time hearing Radiohead song, I do love this song but there’s so much more to choose from. Ok Computer is a great place to start, then you can go back to The Bends or forward to In Rainbows. Those are my top 3 albums of theirs, but they are all great! I hope you keep going with them. Enjoy!
We are totally looking forward to our journey with Radiohead Angela. 😎 We are starting from scratch and know it's going to be quite a ride with Radiohead indeed 😎✌🏼
Thank you guys for reacting to one of my favorite songs of all time! Please more Radiohead! Cheers!
Cheers to you Trent 😎 We are looking forward to the journey ahead with Radiohead yes 😎✌🏼
This is my favorite song from OKC. The second half, especially when the vocal harmonies kick in, is pure magic. What to listen to next? "Paranoid Android," is a must listen at some point, might as well tackle it next.
Were currently trying to do more Radiohead episodes but RUclips is being stubborn 😳
Dude on the left was just vibing. The perfect way to listen to Radiohead.
Total VIBE 😎😎
Thom has the most emotive voice ever with such strong sustaining vibrato. It’s really incredible. When he wants to really concentrate and nail the notes, it’s just a thing of beauty. So many listen to a live performance somewhere (when Thom honestly isn’t nailing the notes) and get turned off by him. But he (even now in his older age) can still sing like an angel when he wants to.
I really hope you guys dig into this band the reward is some of the best music anyone has made. Odd choice for the first time listening to Radiohead this song is a grower but something like Paranoid Android or many other songs on the record. You should start with their second album The Bends and work your way through their evoloution which is really incredible very Beatle like.
More Radiohead please.. My favorite band since The Bends in 1995. Best band ever.
You guys will love 'How to dissappear completely,' from their next album. Great insightful reaction.
Yes completely agree, my fav song from them
The heavyweight champions of music
Radiohead is an incredible journey - I'd stick to "OK Computer as your intro but they travel genres like no other. Their best loved song "Paranoid Android" would b a great next stop.
Good Call, that's our next reaction 😎✌🏼
probably top 20 song. this album Ok Computer you really gotta listen to in its entirety. do an album review of it. please
I bought this album the day it came out on my day off. Brought it to a friends house with some beers and we were blown away ❤
This is the song I sing to my girl even though I can't sing
great way to start listening to radiohead,
Love Radiohead, every album is a progression. My favourite albums are The Bends and In Rainbows. Fake Plastic Trees would be a good one to react to from The Bends, or Bodysnatches from In Rainbows or Exit Music.
Oh and welcome back Ty!
Ty says Hello and cheers ✌🏼 for the welcome back Jeremy 😎 Trying to do more Radiohead episodes but RUclips being stubborn right now 😳
It's a great tune !!!! Check out subterranean home sick alian...also from ok computer 👍🇳🇿🎻
My all time favourite band. So glad you're getting into them - so many different directions and varieties of sound contained in their music. Lots to discover....!!!
Yes lots to discover, lets hope RUclips lets us ✌🏼
Subscribed to watch the radiohead journey
Were trying to get more Radiohead episodes out, but RUclips is being stubborn right now 😳
Has to be one of the greatest album tracks ever
you can get the opposite atmospheric feeling with climb up the walls on Ok Computer.
I was off RUclips and even out of the country and I come back and then post Roger Waters concert videos, and then I finally see you guys doing some OK Computer. The dark side of the moon , so to speak, by Radiohead: one of my faves. Great, glad you both get it. Listen to the Whole album. 👍🏻
Well we're trying more Radiohead but, RUclips is being, shall we say problematic right now , ha 😎✌🏼
I watched again. Funny how the drums never come in when you expect. The notes or melody or sound is just carried. Like a space magic-carpet-ride.
So many great songs to choose from this band.. Try out "Deck's Dark" from their last album "A Moon Shaped Pool" in 2016.
Request unrelated to today's reaction. I just heard the new song from The Killers called "boy". You guys need to do a "we react" to this song. I think you'll like it, and it contains a synth melody that I think Quint should recognize immediately from a song by one of his favorite bands. I thought of it immediately. Let's hear it!
Interesting , Thx Joe I'll check it out soon 😎✌🏼The Killers "Boy"
This is a great song but there's soooo many more songs that would of been a better intro to their music.
Can I suggest some...Exit Music For a Film. Paranoid Android. Street Spirit (fade out) 3 to get you started.
Toots and the maytals do a nice reggae version of this...too
Part of what make it a little off is the guitars are in 5/4 and the rest is in 4/4
To be more precise, only Jonny’s guitar is in 5/4
@@Neorigg yeah it was Johnny.
Nice !!!!
Paranoid Android!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately our episode of Paranoid Android was blocked, RUclips is being stubborn 😳 We'll keep on trying with other Radiohead tunes
Do Paranoid Android next !
Zzzz enough of that on RUclips already. More to Radiohead than that and creep
@@LFCliid ok then, decks dark? Maybe codex? The tourist? How to disappear completely? Calm down dude paranoid Android is just usually one of the first ones I think of it’s not even my favorite tune.
Good Call, that is our next one 😎✌🏼
paranoid android is a must!
Good Call John, that's our next reaction 😎✌🏼
do Paranoid Android pls
Fab suggestion 😎 coming soon! 😎
absolutely banger
I came at this from the same place you guys were - hoping to like it having missed the train - aaaand a solid “meh” from me. Seriously? All the hype? There’s got to be better tracks?!!
This is one of those tracks where the more you are familiar with the melodies and harmonies, the more youre waiting for certain parts of the track. On the first listen, it may feel like its just kind of going nowhere and mellow but this is one of my favorite songs of all time.
If you want an immediately satisfying/impressive song that shows how good they are, I recommend Paranoid Android or Karma Police.
I think Radiohead are a bit marmite, it's a bit hard to explain if you don't get it. But if you get it, you get it. Still I think there are about ten Radiohead tracks which are better than this, this is more like a modern lullaby. Also its an album song, I know it was a promo single but it makes way more sense when you listen to it as part of an album.
We are starting from scratch, so we are totally going by viewer request. 😎 Honestly we didn't know where to start, ha. Just had to get the ball rolling somewhere ya know 😎
@@reactionextraction I get it! Play me a hit single! 🤣
Listen to the whole album in order- Let Down is a massive pick up after Exit Music. It all fits together so well. And it might take a few listens, but once you get it, you get it.
