I have always thought that RatDog was absolutely hands down the best side of all the (non-Jerry) Dead side projects, that includes Furthur and all of the different versions of P and Friends included. This video is such a great example of why. Their pacing is absolutely fantastic, so much space for each to create within a very well-held core. So much going on between them and yet plenty of space to hear it. Mark Karen just does not get his just due.
