Legendary American football player, and actor, Jim Brown, passed away on May 18, at the age of 87. He played in the National Football League, for the Cleveland Browns, from 1957, to 1965. He was one of the greatest players, in NFL history. As an actor, he was most known for his roles, as Lyedecker, in the 1969 film, 100 Rifles. Fireball, in the 1987 film, The Running Man. And Byron Williams, in the 1996 film, Mars Attacks.
English bassist, Andy Rourke, died of pancreatic cancer, on May 19, at the age of 59. He was the bassist for the legendary indie rock band, the Smiths, from 1982, to 1987. He played on hits, like, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out. And This Charming Man.
Legendary American poker player, Doyle Brunson, passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 89. He has won ten World Series of Poker bracelets, in a career spanning more than 50 years. Doyle Brunson was often called, The Godfather of Poker. He was the first American, to win 1 million dollars, in poker tournaments, and accumulated more than 6 million dollars, in live tournament earnings.
He was also the author, of several poker books, and made cameos in films, such as, Lucky You. And The Grand.
In 1988, Doyle Brunson, was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
Austrian actor, Helmut Berger, passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 78. He was most known for his roles, as Frederick Keinszig, in the 1990 film, The Godfather Part 3.
