    I am not a truck driver, but when I listen to these types of songs I say: more than a job, it is a lifestyle.

    65 yrs old x trucker ( retired-disabled) This song/vid sure brings back some great memories. that old highway is a drug and once you have it, there's no recovering from it.

    My first summer vacation spent riding on the dog house of a KW cabover was at the age of 10 years old. I joined the army in 1981 and was civilian again in 1985. My career started then. I was all old school and ran many miles with some of the best family any man could be blessed with up until 2022. I hung up my spurs and saved my own life at 59.
    Unlike today's industry, it was a free, tough, hard, painful, tiring, fun, dangerous, exciting, beautiful, proud, and deeply respected career; which was made up of one giant united family of brothers taking care of and watching out for each other.
    This song brings back many great memories, both good and bad. We all sacrificed in some way. Much of that was the affect it has on our health over the years. The itch and yearning to answer the call is just as strong as every time I pushed the button and heard that triple digit Cat and Cummins come to life. That's right...no electronic garbage and only paper logs for us old school drivers.
    Keep the rubber side down and the chrome side up drivers!!!

      Triple digit 444 Cummins with the red button in West Texas back in the late 90s and a CB not full of crap. Like you said a family oriented brotherhood. God Speed.

      You welcome buddy.
      Respect and love your good and hard working father.
      His job is not easy,Our job is not easy.
      I bet he hates being away from home and losing time with you seeing you guys grow up and winning school awards.
      Being a trucker is not easy but we do it with the heart for all of you who stay at home.

    For the world it is a simple task, perhaps of little value or little understood and ignored, but let's think about what it means to get away from everything to feel that melancholy, you move away and disconnect from everything, from your family, your wife, your children and Even yourself, sacrifice your rest, your routine, but also feel that joy, that freedom, the road, nature, the sunset and the sunrise before you, my respects to all those who, without waiting for the recognition of the world, move the logistics and resources on highways around the world.

    Why in the hell is a cattle truck the fastest thing on the highway?

    • @lc4k746
      @lc4k746 Год назад

      Because if your going to slow, a cow can lay down and could possibly get trampled and die, so out of fear, going fast keeps them standing
