  • A live demonstration of what to do if you get caught in a rip was performed at Manly beach today. The exercise was hosted by former ironman Craig Riddington who, with lifeguard Bruce 'Hoppo' Hopkins, took Manly Sea Eagles players Reuben Garrick, Karl Lawton, Jason Saab and coach Anthony Seibold into the ocean to show them how to respond if they were caught in a rip.
‘Float to Survive’ showed people how to float and enhance their survival chances in the ocean if caught in a rip.
