Totally agree and you said it perfect...I was born in 64 and i remember hearing the hollies when i was 6 yrs old from my mums record collection and that was it by the time i was 10 i was learning to play a ukuele at 13 a got nylon string guitar and went busking with the hippies..All thanks to The Hollies and Neil Young ..Now i am a long haired past middle age man smoking weed and dont give a damn except for this music..and some downbeat tech lol
I love Allan Clarke. He's my favorite member of the Hollies. And it saddens me that he's underrated compared to some 'simple' vocal singers who made it big. Personally, if I were to pick, I think he does it far better than John Lennon. And I'm a huge Lennon fan.
One of Mr. Clarke's finest vocal performances. It received scant attention when released. It is great that his work, both with The Hollies and solo, is now receiving the attention which it deserves. It would be wonderful if he were to make a guest appearance at the London Palladium and at the Hall of Fame ceremony.

Congratulations for offering a perfect trip to the world of real music, massacred today by "oh if I catch you" and related shoddy nowadays. In the late 60's and early 70's my uncle Paul Melia played drums in a Dublin cabaret band called " The Solar System " , they played a lot of Hollies numbers . I used to listen to the guys rehearse , the result is .................... I LOVE THE HOLLIES
