So what you’re saying is water. I have seen a video where all is right and the same thing happen, smaller stalks. The person that had the issue came to the theory that a cold snap in spring stressed the corn and it didn’t fully recover. What would be your take on that?
Hello Thank you for watching. A cold snap can also be a result to stunted corn, This corn was just never watered and the corn stressed after replanting and watered regularly it grew as it fine
@@WisVeggieGardeners Thank you for that super fast response! I have this issue with some F1 sweet right now, most likely a freeze. We did use row cover when they called for the freeze but I guess maybe we should have used poly. I’m seeing some that have the start of ears and some with double. Just noticed a few silks starting to emerge. I will most likely need to manually pollinate this batch. My guess is if ears are produced they will be smaller as well?
2 Peter 3:18 KJV But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Romans 10:9 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
You are contradicting yourself: you said leaves curling due to non-watering is not a concern or a big deal, just water it and it will uncurl, yet you say lack of water causes stress-related early tasseling. I would say that _any_ lack-of-water stress will contribute to earlier than desired tasseling.
Thank you, that has answered my question. Start again but too late in the season!
Thank you so much. I have been experiencing this problem. Your information has been very helpful.👍😊
your welcome

Couldn't you possibly just save the pollen in jars, wait until it grows silks, then hand pollinate them?
you could here is more info www.houzz.com/discussions/1415767/saving-corn-pollen
