Soccer is more skills based sports while America Football and Basketball is more size and heights based sports. That why I love soccer, hard work really matter while if you are not 6.3 ft to 6.8 ft you are not gonna make in NFL or NBA

So that’s not true, football (soccer) is my favorite sport. But, American football has a lot of technicality that you won’t appreciate if you don’t understand it. Can’t speak for basketball I’ve never watched a game before. But my point stands it doesn’t come down to size and heights.

@@germanbernal9095 There are def outliers I played all 4 sports growing up (chose soccer over basketball in HS obv because it was my fav sport) but most of the best players from each of those sports played multiple sports. Football wasn't specifically difficult, I found it to be pretty easy as a tailback but that's because of the other sports I played. Middle Infield, Tailback, point guard, and Forward (striker).. I'd say regardless of what sport you choose once you become pro, it's a whole different level than any 18 and under league and you're competing against the best of the best.. so the skill will def be there.. I don't like comparing sports because they are so different but just from a skill perspective I found soccer to be the most challenging. That's just my perspective at least.

It's not like in Europe we teach 4 year olds how to counter-press, avoid off-side, play zone defence or how to make sure your rest-defence is in check. No, we let them have fun and only when their about 7 or 8 tactical and technical stuff is sparsely being thaught, increasing year by year of course.

Isn't soccer similar? They have the "forward" players. Also, in Basketball and Baseball the "captains" are also not the best in the team... well sometimes they are but obviously captains are gonna be above average. In American Football this might be more the case, as the Quarterback is supposed to be the leader but it's due to the role. The QB dictates the play, so they have to have that "in charge" mentality. That said the other positions are still highly regarded, as a good RB or WR can carry a team.
Football is more like a battle, where the generals is trying to penetrate enemy defenses. The QB is the general, and each "play" is a rehearsed battle tactic the gives the general on the fly options.

Wow I didn't know that's how our U.S. women's team became so good. I always wondered why every other country's women's national team always got dominated by us. Now I see why. Also Pay For Play is a HUGE reason that we'll probably never closed the gap to the rest of the world. I can't blame a talented young kid choosing American Football or Basketball over Soccer since his family probably can't even afford to get him into the next level without a lot of money. Until we find a way for kids in lower income communities a real chance to advance in the sport and make it "cool" to play for young kids. Also the MLS being a closed league without Promotion/Relegation really hurts too for development. Need real Youth Academy's that'll provide a poor kid access to the next level. I don't how the U.S can catch up barring a few lucky runs or upsets. This was a great overall video and reaction!

One important point that needs to be taken into consideration is that football/soccer is expensive in America. If you have 2 kids and you want them to play soccer will cost for the average family a considerable amount of money. So you have a middle-class basin of talent to develop. Not so in Europe or South America. Clubs, big and small, are recruiting massively and will send a van ti pick your kids up for the training. All for free. And if you'll start to show some kind of talent by the age of 9-10 you will start to get free clothing, shoes and stuff.

Any sport that is predominantly played with the hands doesn't require much skill. You crawl with your hands and walk with your hands before you learn to walk. Learning how to walk with your feet even takes time and skill to even do, let alone do what footballers do with a football at their feet while staying balanced. We barely do anything with our feet because it's difficult. Its easier to do any and everything your would remotely think of doing with your feet with your hands.

the rly intresting thing is why woman soccer is so famous in america and male isnt, its because of scholarships in universities in time of euqality.
there was a law passed that you need to give out the same amout of sport scholarships for women and men, and while they had all the football teams which where male only they needed something in exchange, and thats why they made the women soccer teams to give out scholarships to get the numbers.
and thats also why they NOT gave out scholarships for male soccer players because then you would need to give out even more female ones, the male ones were reserved for american football and other sports.

Americans fans, while not all, are driven by entertainment first and foremost (Draft day, Halftime shows, Cheerleaders, Hollywood, Glitz & Glamour). This is why for example many Americans find Football(soccer) boring and slow. Even though ironically, NFL game has lesser play time compared to soccer. Most of the “game” time is actually halftime shows and Advertisements. It’s like Americans can stay focus for a period of time. They need a break and entertain their minds with other things. For me unless Americans personally starts to get interested in Soccer. Your potential wont go anywhere. You can have glimse here and there but nvr a solid foundation. Fortunately tho, there’s promise. With icons like Beckham bringing stars to Miami etc, lets hope the popularity will gradually increase. Enough until the gov wld build college league or something like the NCAA etc.

European club academies prepare the kids for a decades-long carreer, the trading system incentivizes them to think long term, that's what keeps them going financially. Only if you got world class players yourself you can win a World Cup and all the respect to Pulisic in the states they are the best American players ever but in Europe they are just average or let’s say good internationals. Y’all should be the first to promote US soccer, we have a pretty good squad coming into the Copa America this summer so we have a chance to compete with the likes of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and even Mexico again. The MLS also seems to be gaining a good amount of attention with incredible sell out crowds so some reactions to these games can be great
