Funny enough Asmus is now offering the grey head with the white sculpt as it’s base! It’s a huge improvement! Have mine on the way now

Great review. Can’t wait to get mine. I agree with this being the best Asmus figure. The grey figure isn’t bad but I’m looking forward to the Inart version as it has a better likeness. As of right now I have both Inart Gandalf the Grey and Aragorn (rooted hair) on order. 😊

Beautiful figure, I saw it at the comic con when a lot of people were complaining about his hair and head sculpt, they were wrong. I have Gandalf the Grey by Asmus and I ordered the one from InArt, I wish to see the InArt version of this character

So this is absolutely awesome, much better face than that Grey one.... but I was also impresed with that box. It is really nice looking box and I would be even satisfied with only that box 🤣

I did order the Gandalf but haven't for Aragorn, still deciding. Not that I dont think it looks good I'm just not sure I want to continue buying figures and thinking of sticking to statues. It's really tempting though I may change my mind.
The face looks pretty good and probably is one of Asmus’ best lotr figures in terms of likeness. Are you planning on getting the InArt lotr figures? I pre-ordered them, tho I’m a bit concerned about the Gandalf after seeing the Prototype in Justin’s Collection review video. Hopefully the production piece will look like the promo pics if not better.
I'm really not sure... I did pre-order the Gandalf but not sure I'll get the Aragorn. Not because I don't think it looks amazing it very much does, just lately I've been considering sticking with just statues. Including the InArt Gandalf, I have 2 more videos I'll probably make for figures but after that not sure I want to continue. I do like figures but my issue is, I set them up once and then never change the pose again so it doesn't really benefit me to get a pose-able figure. I did order the Prime 1 Gandalf with Balrog (ultimate edition) and I'm really looking forward to that.
@@thecyberhobbit yeah I totally get what you mean. I thought I’d just stick with statues too, and primarily Weta. But I find Weta has a hard time with human faces. So thought I’d dip my toe with InArt for the likeness of the humans. But I must say the classic series Gandalf the grey is actually very good in likeness and overall sculpt and paint. And I’m really fussy 😂

I *loved* My Little Pony as a kid!! 🤣 This Gandalf is awesome, but Shadowfax looks a bit disproportionate to me and that mane definitely needs some styling 🤭 I decided to wait for InArt to release a Gandalf the White figure. I hope I didn't make a mistake letting this one go!
😆 Yeah it's a big horse and actually weighs a lot. Though since I don't really have the space to display him with the horse I'll probably just have Gandalf alone so it's not the biggest deal breaker for me. I would imagine if InArt does a Gandalf the White it could be a few years as they seem to be tackling the other main characters first but I could be completely wrong :D

@TheEnginn oh sorry I misread your comment, I don't have the weta classic series gandalf though I wish I did. From my experience though with the nazgul they seem to be pretty close.
I picked up the Asmus Gandalf the White last week. I am beyond impressed. The head sculpt, the detail in the clothing, the articulation, and to top it all off, shadowfax!
This by far Ryan is Asmus best LOTR figure yet. It looks like Gandalf the Grey from Inart is going to top the Asmus version but it’s going to be really hard to dethrone this one here! Awesome review!
