- Hey all, welcome to the channel! Wipe is coming so everyone is coming in a bit more kitted then before. The game got a bit more challenging but the rewards are a lot higher now. Thanks for watching!
What is this Game?
Ghosts of Tabor is basically a VR version of Escape from Tarkov. It is an extraction shooter where your goal is to go in, loot some stuff, and make it out alive while fighting off NPCs and other players. And if you die you lose everything you were carrying or that you brought in with you.

Yeah losing a good kit always stings a bit. It was going to get wiped in a week anyway though, so not a bad time to lose your stuff I guess? Im curious what an OP SKS kit would be. You aren't talking about the Tier1 SKS right?

Hahaha this is great, I'm glad you told me because my game crashed after and I never saw the score screen. I was too slow to get to chase your friends down at exfil, I saw them just leaving when I was getting out of prison. GGs! 🙌(That video will be posted 7/29 fyi, and that was my last raid of the video).

Thanks! So I pretty much just play solo. But I am hosting a community day stream on the 27th (this weekend) where I squad up with viewers. I plan to keep hosting them, likely once a month, so if you can't make this one, or don't get in because it's too crowded, there will be more opportunities.
When will the first community day next wipe be?
😆 I don't even know what I will be having tonight for dinner yet haha. August has a bit of travel for me, so it might be 10th or the 31st are my best guesses right now.

Is there a wipe event or is this it
They announced a wipe event starting on July 28th. But I haven't heard an official announcement on what the event will be. It might be the same as last time (lots of money and all traders unlocked) but we will see 🙌

Yo any tips
Assuming you are newish, here's my beginner tips:
I would recommend playing on Silo (6players) or Island (12players) when starting out. Silo is good for learning the game and gun mechanics and getting use to PvP. Island is my favorite map and has a good mix of everything on it. The other maps are good but a bit harder to learn and survive on so I would skip them until you are more comfortable in the game.
In the beginning focus on being patient and just surviving some raids.
Naked runs are a great way to learn the game while not risking anything. Naked runs on silo are pretty viable, since there are lots of guns laying around. On Island I would normally recommend bringing in some sort of kit. (sling bag, and a gun)
As for a kit, always at least bring a backpack in even for naked runs. Sling bags are cheap and you never know what you might find.
Pretty much any gun is viable to use, since the TTK is so low. So experiment and find what you like, you can test out guns in the market for free. Though I only use guns that can take an AK rail or have rails built in because iron sights are pretty tough to use on any map besides silo.
Play cautiously and slow, don't worry about sitting for a while to camp a spot if you hear someone near you (tree camping is your friend) Be prepared to die a lot and not get many kills when starting out. When I started out I died every raid. But the game gets a lot easier once you play enough to memorize the spawn locations and the general routes players take.
Also if you join the official discord, you can team up with other players (squads make this game a good bit easier). Their discord also has designated players that specifically help new players learn the game by playing with them.
I know I have more tips, but that's all I can think of right now. Hope you enjoy the game and if you want to share your experiences here as you get into the game feel free to! I really enjoy hearing everyone's game stories especially from new players
