Grew up with a friend who enjoyed a very successful NFL career, (L O'Neal). He used to hit Bali as his personal playground, back in the day. I had the good fortune to go there twice with him, and experience some of what Bali has to offer. MAAAAAANNNNNN what an incredibly peaceful, warm and friendly place. Definitely a "must experience" if you ever have a chance.

I used to vacation in Bali back in 2004 thru to 2008 , multiple times - just the moment I landed in Bali I used to find myself smiling all the time.. just naturally happy. There is magic about Bali.

I've been there once and I would definitely retire there, just visit first to see if it's your speed. Thailand is probably even more affordable with the same laid back and comfortable lifestyle

@@bdabroad This is why for Thailand I would suggest a minimum 3 week stay. After a few day in you'd be good. It's coming back that messes you up.

Yes. The people you travel with and the locals you interact with are what makes an incredible journey exceptional. Bali does touch many in their hearts.
I make a graduate student's salary in the US and studied abroad in Bali last year. I was able to have most of the experiences you showed in this video lol The difference in the quality of life with a student's pay from the US to Bali was insane!
