I think many of us now have enough pedals to fill a display cabinet of our own. So can you do a review on display cabinets? Custom shop shelving and glass doors. Lighting and mounting guides. Thanks.
I played a load of rat pedals at the time of buying my first one and honestly even against the crazy expensive Rattler- I think the cheap Procro one is the best. Even Josh Scott of JHS rates it and downplays the importance of the chip. It’s an amazing pedal long due a renaissance, goes from crunch to full on Sleep tones on its own and slap a fuzz pedal after it and you’ve got instant Sunn O))). Having said that I was blown away by the Packrat! What an amazing pedal. Pricy but it’s basically 9 boutique versions of the Rat in one… gonna have to get it.
My dad used to play an old RAT into either a Vox AC30 or Marshall Bluesbreaker and it was great. I was trying to decide on a RAT pedal for my self and went for the PackRat in the end. Even though it's one of the most expensive options out there it's also the cheapest in a way, like you say lol. I can confirm -- IT IS RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME!! Definitely recommend it to anyone who's RAT curious and after their first RAT 😊
I'm really digging the TC Magus Pro. Smaller enclosure with the thee modes, love the turbo setting. I have a wampler ratsbane, but it just doesn't make it on to any of my boards.🤔
On the rat pedal - I think the models in the katana amps are really good. Also you can put two together and get the graham coxon-esque total destruction sounds
Ahhhhh the pantheon it’s herrrrrre!!!!!!! Been waiting on this after seeing it on Pete’s instagram 😁😁😁 love how this comes out the day before my birthday I see a purchase being inevitable 😂 I need to take shares out in Andertons
I wish they would have plugged the EL34 pedal into a Katana which is not tube-driven. Love to see if it makes a non-tube amp have that feel and sag of a tube amp with that pedal.
It would be interesting for a video like this to feature a solid state or digital amp. Especially when it comes to the EL34 pedal. I am curious how this would stack up on a pedal friendly platform such as the Super Crush 100 or Katana MkII 100.
@@smelltheglove2038 This isnt 2005 anymore. digital and solid state amps modelling has come a very long way and people who scoff at them are stuck in the past.
@@smelltheglove2038 There’s lots of reasons someone would go for digital or solid state over traditional tube amps. Convenience, weight, availability, musical style, physical size, purpose, etc… Sure, price could come into it, but valves might not suit everyone. After twenty years of playing only valve amp setups, I’ve recently moved onto playing a Helix. My tone, when playing with a band is significantly better now, because it’s infinitely tweakable, more consistent and easier to mix.
@@smelltheglove2038 I mean not everyone can afford a tube amp. I wouldn’t necessarily call people cheap for not wanting to dish out a few thousand dollars for a tube amp. Maybe a good solid state is all they can afford.
I might be wrong but probably the new Blackstar Dept 10 Boost could be something similar to the EL 34, & if I'm not mistaken, the Blackstar is cheaper....but i might be wrong.....🙏
As a owner of the pack rat i can honestly say it's legit and all the distortion you could want. Although I would love to try out the walrus eras at some point for a more modern sound.
The rat is amazing on its own but I’ve also used it on the front of my amp with a low gain setting with the volume knob at 3/4 and it gives a bit of a thumpy boost to an already driven channel. Unconventional but kind of fun to play with.
Could you please do a new review about the headless Steinberger guitars.I thought it was ridicules. These are very good and handy guitars. The only reason it was made fun of is that the Cappers fellow could not hide his ...belly under it.
I love how Pete "struggles" to sound English, but always sounds like a Skandinavian. They all have an issue with the Z letter. It is always an S. Apart from that he's a very likeable and talented guitarist.

They sell instruments not display cabinets.
Tone. It's all in the hinges. Brass or stainless steel...
Brilliant idea! +1 for me! 😂👍
Hahahahahahahhahah
Tone cabinets. Ash and Oak please !
That JHS Rat is really a beast of a pedal.
Every time Pete tells a dirty joke, Lee is there like Gollum going, "I'm not listening! I'm not listening!"
Love it

Been missing these episodes as we are all always searching for something inspirational...
Apparently you should start with presence on the Pantheon at 0 and then add it to taste. I think Brian was saying the presence is additive.
And global

maybe close, but probably not. There is just no substitute for a good tube amp.Now go ahead and let me have it.

I agree with yr suggestion.

£250 For the EL 34 pedal! Similar results from any affordable boost/overdrive.

Just saw Nathaniel Murphy’s in London. I hope that means we get a ‘Captain Meets...’ soon.
Love this series fellas, "Please Sir can I have some more?" That said, only the Patheon interests me personally of this lot.
That eq pedal is grossly overpriced for 250£. Probably just a jfet booster with a bass cut
Pete's playing perfectly demonstrated the Pantheon 🎸
Pete's lookin good and healthy! Glad to see you all doing good round the new year! Great video as always
that Bad Cat is phenomenal.
love the jhs. ill be buying that some day
As a owner of the pack rat i can honestly say it's legit and all the distortion you could want. Although I would love to try out the walrus eras at some point for a more modern sound.
Yepee the master knob twiddler and the master noodler strike again 😂😂😂🥃cheers fellas respect and stay healthy all.
How do you guys handle hum from single coils ? There doesn’t seem to be any hun bleeding through in the video! What’s the secret ? 😭
A simple EQ pedal would get you the EL34 pedal characteristics all day long.

Thanks for the upload guys! Cheers!
I've had the single Pantheon for a while now. In my home studio it's my Marshall "voice". The amp almost doesn't matter.
Awe two friendly faces not arguing about the EVH Iconic!
Lol fact
Lolz you have to love 💘 💕 PETE! He's a riff monster. Cap says go and he let's it GO.
I hear Rober' likes that Double drive
I got the Pack Rat. Fantastic.
I literally just bought a cabinet for my pedals. Love the rat! 🐀
Feel I have missed the previous 7 versions of this 😬
Loved the sound of the BadCat
I’ve been wondering the same exacting thing about the pedal to run it stereo with just one “IN” while running both “Outs.”
I don't think my eyes deceive me.... Danish Pete is getting buff.... he's definitely doing some diet & exercise.
Wonder what the rift EL34 would do with an affordable amp or solid state
Pantheon Deluxe ! Awesome....

🤣
I liked the three non rats! rats are a can o bees to my ears.
This is a great series!
"EL34 sound in a pedal" is the biggest slice of marketing rubbish I've heard this year.
FANTANALOW!!!!!!
That wampler sounds sooo good
Now I want the Packrat...
The victory and the bad cat are both purple lol I want both of em that’s my favorite color
Now I want the ratpack. Lol
Shit, now I'm going to have save for more pedals that my wife will give me grief about!
nice. you turn on the L.A. metal and it causes a bit of an earthquake.
Cagney baby!
Excellent ☮️
I liked the sound of the badcat one - I reckon you could smash the output a bit to get some nice breaking up without blowing the windows out (again)
Bad cat is awesome.
make that bluddy Dane earn his sterling! :p
Why doesn't the guy in the pink shirt use a pick when he plays the guitars?
I miss Sounds Like
It's not the messiah it's a very naughty cat...
RUclips has become virtually unwatchable due to the number of adverts. I’m nearly out.

@@smelltheglove2038 Yeah but he's Dutch, from Italy. With a Chinese grandma. ;)
@@samuelxavier2473 And a Nigerian grandfather.😅😅😅
El34 sounds very good too bad it is the same price as a second hand vox
well the pantheon won this shoot-out if it was one haha
I'M Brian Fantana
James Cagney didn't say 'you dirty rat' it is said about his character by someone else
Turn down the gain in that Rat pedal and you have Lenny Kravitz tone.
LA GnR Motley Crue LA Guns etc.
Pantheon is poorly represented here. Need to start tweaking with presence at 0.
The EL34 is baaaad 😬
Swirl Job.
A rat demo with no humbuckers 👎🏻
Worst review of web.
