Coonskin, one my favorite pieces of political satire and how unhinged the animation can be.

Was Ralph ahead of his time or was everybody else just behind?

wow its rare for me to see something like this when its fresh. To another year of stories and continued legacy of ralph bakshi its rare to see a white creator so in tune with the culture of black people. especialy nearly fifty years ago and still timeless today

Did Fritz really gross $90 million in box office? In 1972 that would be more than Godfather
Why did Ralph's next movies still had minimal budgets if Fritz made $90 million?

He was offered more money to do a Fritz sequel $5-6M but he wanted to break new ground with Heavy Traffic.

      Then came Coonskin

@@TheZoomArtStudio but there was an actual Fritz siquel and it had a $1.5 million budget? I know Ralph likes to exaggerate his lifestory, nothing wrong with that, I just noticed that the numbers don't seem to be adding up. Like, I can believe Godfather grossed $80 million, it's still culturally known and gets referenced a lot. Fritz gets short niche one-off references, it makes more sence that it actually grossed in rental theaters around 4.7 million, as stated on wikipedia

Again, $90 million dollars is more than the initial box office gross of Disney's The Jungle Book, Aristocrats, and Robin Hood combined

Wikipedia states that Fritz made $90M world wide. That was in 1972. Adjusted for inflation it would be like making $566M today. This is according to ChatGPT.

I’ve been trying to get an interview with Ralph Bakshi myself for many years. Is it possible for you to get me an interview with him?

Quentin is a phony who used Ralph to make himself BE like him by making WORSE movies like Pulp Ficton and Django Unchained which failed to make main character better.

Stupid Disney misled too many people. Good thing I enjoyed Coonskin to see how it was.
