It's neat to see an old game get some kind of remake or reimagining done by a different developer. But for the developer to try to profit off of a property that they didn't make just doesn't sit right with me. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs face a lawsuit from the people who made Granny.

Honestly, i'd kill for someone to put honest hard work and passion into a realistic, scary granny game. Glad that happened! My only issues are very small things, them being: I miss the blood and visible deterioration of the player character's visuals and movement- I feel like that was a pretty core aspect of granny's gameplay to make people not want to get caught. That, and since this remake is supposed to be realistic- I honestly wish the granny model was! Though, it's not like modeling is easy- And what they did already is good! But to praise the changes I think the slanted mouth looks creepy and unique :D That, and the added visuals in the jumpscare are also wonderful!

The place the developer lives has no copyright laws to my knowledge so they can't be sued for this game unless expodited (which a country is unlikely to do over an internet game). The only thing they could do is have it taken off steam which would be a pain for everyone involved because... steam. It's the same way how any random indian could upload movies and make money off ads (which they do, and I'm not complaining at all since I use it)
Removing it from Steam though would prevent the developer from profiting anymore from it. Sure, they can upload it to another platform, but it's not going to get nearly the same amount of traction as it would if it were on steam.
