Don't buy em, they're all guff
When you reach the parking area you should leave the bikes on in neutral and run through the headlights, high and low beam. Those lights look beautiful.
FYI: There is a button, just below the ignition switch that is used to power the electric on and off. That difficult to reach twist switch is just a backup. You normally don’t use that to turn the bike on or off. That is the same on all Diavels going back to 2016.
I've owned this bike for a month and have been complaining about the little twist thing to everyone because it's literally the only thing about the bike I didn't like. I just went out and looked at this button I'd never noticed before. I'm so mad haha. Thank you!

DPL is Ducati Power Launch.
We can all take it that this bike is just a ton of fun via the "giggle factor". I watch a lot of motorcycle reviews and the count of giggles is always a true gauge on how fun a bike really is.
Motojitsu your reviews are among the best on youtube! I love how unfiltered and honest you are in your reactions, this is the feeling a lot of us get when we see the bike on the dealership floor: nerding out over the taillights, exhaust etc. You capture it really well.
That's the same bike the Green Arrow rides in the TV show on the CW. Looks and sounds great!
I test road this bike 2 weeks ago in Newport. I’m pretty sure it’s my next bike.
Almost traded my streetfighter v4s for it.
It’s that good!
4:12 I only brake with one finger on my hypermotard. I can lean back, and brake so hard I lift the back wheel off the ground without stressing my hand. The control under heavy braking is amazing.
I've been watching you Greg for quite awhile and I go out and practice. If I'm not pushing real hard in curves I practice one hand and switch. Honda v-45 magna was the first v-4 muscle bike. I had an 83 new, people were like what's that.
These are really in their own category. Looks and sounds great with the Akrapovic as well, although those are stupid money now.
Love the content! keep teaching us!
The ignition in that spot is a back up, as long as the key fob is close to the bike it turns on by pressing the black button under the red start button...
Perfect replacement for that ungainly GS 😉😉😉. This is the only bike I'd throw caution into the wind for regardless of potential parts and service issues. This thing outpulls a Rocket III handily and is way lighter. It also has an optional touring windscreen and luggage. What more could you want??
Huge fan of the looks of the bike, the triumph rocket is another great looking machine.
I live in the Bay Area, a one hour flight! I’ll pick you up from the airport and you can ride it up here to test drive!
Just picked up my diavel V4 a few days ago. I'm loving it. You dont have to touch that dial below the screen. Theres a black "power" button right under the kill switch that turns on and off the bike. As long as you have your key job on you, no need to ever touch that dial.
Does it have a fuel gauge? , or range display?
@@prajwalkashyap4741 Yes it has both.
Good for you, Greg! Blessings!
I respect your approach to motorcycling, especially the safety and sanity aspects. You are making a major contribution to clever riding. Keep up the excellent work.
Saw that Badass bike at МотоМосква show in Moscow this spring. I really understand Greg's delight!!!
Absolutely fantastic design! I'm in love with it's rear wheel and exhaust pipes design. Fantastic motorcycle!!!
Well, it's time to start the engine of my old lovely Honda Deauville.🤤
Greetings from Russia! 🤜🤛
I'm seriously considering that bike as my next purchase.
Me too. Might be a year or two or three before I do, but yeah. I'm in love. Up till now, it seems to be the only bike I'd consider better than my CB1000R for the kind of riding I do.
I have one, it’s been an amazing experience so far!
Great review! I just saw your other review of the BMW R1250R. How do these compare?
Looks good. Would put after market handle bars to lower them. Under bar/alternative mirrors. Flushed front turn signals.
Yup. My thoughts exactly. Get those bars and mirrors below the line of the tank and this thing will look truly menacing. Batman wouldn't sit bolt upright either. Ya gotta lean into that triple digit wind speed.
To lean i push in the direction i want to lean, and at the same time i put half of my body off the bike as i ride a custom and it doesn't comply a lot with leaning (i think my dragbar is not wide enough too, a wider would help i guess)
I've ridden the Rocket 3R, 3GT, and TFC, but I've never tried the Diavel before.
Awesome, I have over 4,000 miles on my red 2023 Ducati Diavel V4. I just did a 4,000 mile review on my Slow Rider channel. The Diavel V4 is awesome to ride. I'm up in Northern California, but if I was down in Southern California I would let you ride it for a review. Slow Rider out. I also have over 50 Ducati Diavel V4 videos.
Hey Slow rider i am your subscriber..
You don't need to use that ignition method. There's a button on the right that will turn it on when the key fob is in range.
You don't have to use that key knob to turn it off lol. Just push the button on the right handle bar to turn it on or of😅
Not sure what I do to the left but I definitely pull left to go right.
You should ride the 2021. Think that year and older are v2’s. See which engine works best for that platform
What do you think, how much difference between V4 and 1260 since test ride them both?
I have a triumph trident 660 if you want to test ride that 😂, it ain’t much but it’s something! I live in South Bay and would love to see what the bike is capable of in the hands of an expert
Can things come any lower ? I’m 5’2 and not sure if touch the ground or is there a lower seat?
Test rode this a week ago. Agree it is an amazing bike. Very light as well, with a good seat height for those of us vertically challenged. Did find it a little twitchy in the lower rpm range though. I believe you can add small panniers and a small windshield. Can any engine protection be added? Would love to hear your full review on the bike.
Then listen to the whole video...this is the review lol
@@MotoJitsu Got that! I was referring to the longer ride you mentioned in your abbreviated review. All good!
Yes, if anyone has a bike and wants to let me borrow it....would be fun!
This bike is anything but light, its over 500 pounds.
@@MotoJitsugot one up in Anchorage, AK. COME ON UP!
That my friend is your launch control..DPL Ducati Power Launch. 3 DPL levels based on your riding ability. Press DPL button follow instructions on screen.
I just saw one of those, very cool motorcycle
Great review, don’t think I’ve heard you laugh that much testing any other motorcycle.
Love that exhaust.
It’s definitely a cool looking bike I can tell you we’re having a ball 😅
What was that when you turned on the ignition? Is the key that hard to get to? Or did you just not want to block the display?
Ok. I should have watched the rest of the video. LOL!
Love this guy, awesome bike.
Those Diavels are awesome.
Oh man, all I’ve been doing is watching videos of this bike and the multiStrada pikes peak. They both seem pretty amazing. But first I have to sell this 2022 Lowrider S. I am not impressed with it. Once she goes, the Ducati is moving in.
I don't want to Hype this bike up but it's got to be the best-looking motorcycle I ever seen it's very comfortable and a fast bike I have a Hayabusa how do you compare this to that because I think I'm getting rid of the Hayabusa. And which one would you take the Ducati or the BMW r1250r because I think this Ducati or the BMW might be my next bike. Comfort performance and looks are my priority. And they claimed best of all 32,000 miles valve adjustment intervals on this bike and two-year oil changes amazing.
I can only imagine amount of experience one needs to have to be able to ride this bike to it's full potential. Also maintenance cost is haaaauuugggeee... This is not for average folk for sure.
I was at my local motorcycle shop and they had a cbr650r and a cbr600rr and a r7 and a cb650r and a ktm duke 790 and a duke 890 and a gxsr600 and a aprilla rs660 out of those which is the best for a beginner
R7, 650 or 790
I never reach for that little on/off switch. Just press the start button once, and the bike will come to life.
just picked up a 2024 V4 - share your love for it. I just wish the exhaust was louder with the stock look. Why are you turning off with that center key? You can do the same with the two buttons on the right hand control.
was a fun bike to ride for sure
what are those two silver ovals in the front - air intakes?
Correct
Beautiful bike🖤💪🏼
FYI- there’s an option to get a stm dry clutch
This looks similar to the Yamaha Vmax 1700 (no longer in production).
Amazing bikes bro 🤘
I love the diavel, something about it looks menacing
tested this some time ago: compared to my MT-10,the power is way less impressive ...nothing wow.But damn those brakes are something else. Also the looks are great.
Would probably be pretty insane with that crossplane inline 4. But for a cruiser the V4 seems fairly appropriate as well honestly
How could you have tested this some time ago? It's only been out a few months.
@@phillipsmith1489 about 1-2 months ago in Europe
@@434x18 the v4 ,like Greg said,is very nimble for a muscle cruiser. The power is manageable even in sport and nothing taking you by surprise.Comfy as hell and has the looks. Unfortunately not that cheap
you dont need to demo it. just buy it. you will not regret it!
man, I can listen to that engine noise all day
That is UNREAL
3:31 DPL - Ducati Power Launch
Bike looks nice and looks high quality
what a beautiful beast..
They have updated the ignition to just be a push button instead of a switch.
Dumb people launcher-Spits ammo out of that 4 way tail pipe at people tailgating! 👌🏻😂🔥😊
You should try the XDiavel
it is faster than my Rocket 3 GT but no stile like the Triumph, still a nice bike thaw.
7:16 Did that guy give you the finger? Amazing bike though 👍
Kinda looks like horns to me 🤘on an early model Ducati Monster no less
Next you should ride and review a Triumph Rocket.
Surprised for that price tag Ducati didn't add their electronic suspension.
I’m sure there will be a V4S version eventually
sorry if im being dum but i didnt hear you mention the actual bhp or torque in the vid? heard you say it has alot of it... but not the actual numbers. P.S. your talking about a torquey bike? you have been on a rocket 3! lol
yes already test rode one...i have a whole playlist on Bike Reviews
I know that an 800cc bike might be a lot of power for a newbie, but if it has modes that you can modify at your needs,do you think that a newbie might be able to use it at all?
Don't recommend...because you can't change the weight or size.
@MotoJitsu thank you so much, I had in mind an MV AGUSTA BRUTALE 800 that is for sale here in Sacramento the city where I leave, I like your content though, thank you foe the advice.
welcome :)
DPL (Ducati power launch)
Please make a year review of this bike! I'm about to purchase it. 😀
:)
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
17:43 ya probably not if you gta their bike hahaha
How would you compare it against the Rocket 3?
I think overall this is better.
More ducati test rides please.
another one tomorrow!
DPL is launch control
batman rides a ninja 400 bro get it straight😂
EL SEÑOR DE LA NOCHE 🌃🦇
DCT on Ducati???
This is not Batman’s Motorcycle but it is Green Arrow’s Motorcycle in the Arrowverse Oliver Queen rides this motorcycle
Looks amazing wtf...
32" inseam. all we need is waist and chest measurements and we'll make you a nice suit. LOL. it'll be ready next thursday.
I have a xdiavel s give it a shot jitsu 🥋🥋
I would say the black SFV4s is a better BATMAN bike.
Batman doesn't ride this kind of bike...but wolverine absolutely does
They’ve gone too far with the rear cylinder deactivation on this bike, horrible at low speed below 4k revs, couldn’t get off it quick enough.
My bud regrets his purchase every time he rides with me on my 890Duke…says he will likely sell. Told him two bikes are better than one for that ridiculous price tag and maintenance costs. 🤣😂
I really wish motorcycles didn't have a break-in period. It's actually dangerous to only have 4,000 RPMs to work with. You can't keep up with traffic. You lose one of your tools to avoid cars.
What is a way to not have a break in period with a motorcycle? Seems like most bikes have it for many hundreds of miles.
@@miken6imy The manufacturer could break-in the engine on a dyno at the factory. This is done with a lot of racing engines. They'll dyno the engine to make sure it's making the power it's supposed to, then deliver the engine ready to go.
Breakin period or not, I'm doing what is required to get away from danger. The breakin doesn't mean anything if you and the bike are wrecked
@@jaredvogler6950 the break in period or limited power period is a time or miles that that engine will only rev a certain or otherwise limit power. There is no way to twist the throttle more than 100 percent to avoid the limitation. With ktm it lasts 600 miles and disappears a fraction of a mile later.
You becoming a kiwi. We bleed All Black😅
It's a modern VMax.
5’9” with a 32’ inseam? I’m 6’”2 with the same inseam. How bunched are your pants?
Who knows, my jeans are 32x32
I’m 5’10” with a 29” inseam, go figure 😂
Power Cruiser
Lol, nope, the design for Batman's motorcycle was already stolen by Honda for the 2014/15 Valkyrie/F6c. Those huge radiator projection pods on each side remind me of all of Batman's vehicles every time I get on mine. 🤣
Again I don’t like the mask somehow. :/ really having issues with what all the brands do with their naked bikes faces these last years. Except of the acceptable look of the Aprilia tuono there’s not really one naked bike I really dig look wise. The bmw s1000rr is amazingly looking but the naked is again somehow dull at the front. Same with Kawasaki, yamaha and Ducati. Wouldn’t be that hard to really make a better more interesting looking naked bike in my humble opinion. I think Aprilia did it best with letting their naked look quite similar to their supersport bike.
Maybe it’s just me though. 🤷🏻♂️😂🙄
Stock exhaust sounds quite uninspired
We have to thank Audi to get Ducati and Lamborghini back on track.
15:24 he didn’t wave bro he didn’t wave why didn’t you chase him down
So is it pronounced "Dear-vell" or 'Dee-av-ell'?
Bro, it's a ducati. It's for rich people. They aren't concerned about it felling over and stuff. They wouldn't even touch it if it fell. Pretty sure they would have the dealer deliver a new one right on the spot and leave the old one there lying.
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
I test rode this bike and laughed like a hyena the whole time. Hilariously amazing
The exhaust looks ridiculous
it's stout. It's a stout motorcycle. Nice bike honestly.
