Singer Monica Mancini and Grammy-winning producer and drummer Gregg Field discuss the music and legacy of composer Henry Mancini (1924-1994) with Music Division Chief Susan Vita. The Library of Congress, which is home to the Henry Mancini Papers, commemorates the composer’s 100th birthday in 2024 with a series of events. Mancini is an iconic American composer and musician whose unforgettable scores for the cinema, television and recordings earned him twenty Grammy Awards, four Oscars and commissions from the New York Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestra. His popular scores include “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Victor/Victoria” and “The Pink Panther.”
