I don't understand how you can not rest your fingers on the body of the guitar. HOW??!! I lose total control.
Thanks for this short!!!
I will start working with this lesson immediately 🤟🤪🤘💜
Hey bro that is an awesome looking guitar : )
What is it and what kind of inlays are those on the guitar neck? Amazing videos by the way I just found you and subscribed.
please help me
Damn no more resting my wrist now, we following the arpeggios 😝
Your supposed to be playing that 5th note hammer-on on the high string anyways bro
@@turolretar thats one nasty af griffen
Remember when you liked family guy?
😛😜😝😛😋
That’s an excellent tip on sweeping. I still tend to hold my palm in that one spot. Hard habit to break.
Thank you brother💖
Jason Becker did too so I don't think its such a big issue
Usually other RUclipsrs waste my time with these but Bernth has some really great advice here. I learned a lot.
String noise when tapping is killing me, especially when releasing from one string and going to another.
It’s releasing a bend for me
That guitar is sick
#3 is so true. The picking angle changes and creates a horrible scraping sound
I learn something new everyday from watching your videos. Give me 2 years and we'll be jamming together.
I must say that there isn’t anyone giving better guitar lessons, or technique fixes than you. You’re consistently showing and helping others learn and improve.
This is a prime example. It would normally take a player years to figure out using your arm rather than just your wrist in sweeps, to ensure you keep a similar pick angle when you get to the bottom of the sweep.
I can’t thank you enough for all you’re doing for the community
Thank you for always giving us tips a year ago I could barely play the opening to crazy train and after watching and learning from you I can play hail to the king cleanly
I swear you have better info on your RUclips channel than most paid courses have. Your tips have already helped improve my playing, now I just need to force myself to play more
I attempted to self teach myself guitar years ago. Well, I didnt want to stop, but i was over developing bad habits and sloppy playing. So i stopped. Its been a few years now and im ready to start playing again. Ive learned a lot just seeing your videos Technique wise.
BERNTH is so phenomenally good at guitar and very open and accessible in his teaching. Along with Troy Grady, this man is going to revolutionize metal guitar
Finnaly got a tip for this
If i have my wrist fixed and rest on the bridge i am accurate but have issues alternate picking fast, if i move my whole wrist up and down I can alternate pick better but lose accuracy, keep plucking the wrong strings! fml :D
The pick hand anchoring is a game changer tip! You’re the man.
Best guitarist and teacher on RUclips!
dawg ik you probably don’t get a lot of comments about this but i love your dreads man. deadass you inspired me to get them again and get better at guitar
My skill level is abysmal but this channel has provided me with more great tips in a month than ive gotten in years. Love your work. Thx.
It's good of you to show and give the proper advice to all those who want to learn . Very much appreciated , Thanks for sharing!
Dammit. That guitar. The absolute coolest guitar ever. Wanted one so bad, but could not afford. I can't even stand to look at it in someone's hands! Thanks for the tips though, it is appreciated.
What is it?
Thank you dude, I've been playing for 13 years now and this helps a lot.
Right been trying sweep arpeggios for years couldn't figure out why I was sucking until this video saved me alot of pain I tell ya
Wow, some of the most useful tips I've ever seen. Really been helping me clean up what I was doing wrong and everything is just flowing so much smoother. Thanks!
This guy is breaching the gap to the guitar Gods.. protect him..
Game changer I never seen you before I’m trying to get off of a six string and play 5 string base cause i like the way it looks, loose
These are all great tips that I realized I have been guilty of after putting down the guitar for a couple years and playing only sporafically thereafter. Awesome!
Great advice.😊🎶🎶🎶
Great advice and tips!
I also think the pick holding habit is set in stone from how you started, so I realize someone starting holding it with flat picking vs pinched between the tips of the thumb/pointer finger effects the string rub conflict differently.
I really enjoy holding the pick at a slight angle between the tips of my fingers because you can alternate picking by pushing and pulling your fingers two without having to rapidly move your whole hand/arm/wrist
That guitar is gorgeous, gives me H.R. Giger vibes. Thank you for the time you put into making and sharing content. You've inspired me to really push myself towards a more disciplined musician.
Excellent advice German dude. Thanks!
Thank you for the tips, they are very much appreciated 😊 😀 🙏
Damn, this is the first time in a long time I saw truly useful advice in a short.
Very good advice and techniques, I play electric guitar as well and I have some of these bad habits to, I'm going to consciously avoid these mistakes that I do. Thank you so much for your tutorial.
Aa I'm attempting to go from flat open hand picking to closes fist, I discovered pinch harmonics... Now I can't play with either, but discovered also that bouncing from palm on the bridge to bouncing my pinky off the high string worked and made it easier to palm mute easier with accuracy... Full sweeps got way harder though, like limited to 4 strings at most without tapping...
I'm an almost exclusively fingerstyle funk/fusion bass player, but this is useful even to me.
thanks to you i improved so much in just 2 weeks. you are a legend man !
Ngl the knuckle-dragging on the strings adds a really dope sound imo
Thanks for the heads up
Thanks can’t wait to try these. Can you teach me the G chord first please :)
#2, I love you!! No really, you do have a gift
Really appreciate your help. You are a good teacher
Very good tips to improve my skill❤️🎸
Bro you are incredible.
I have no desire to play like Bernth, but I enjoy watching him.
This guy helped me with fast 16th note runs.
Thanks for the video man I followed ❤
I fricking love that guitar so much, I wish Ibanez made more of them.
Do they?
A lot of people rest their hand on the bridge because without it they get other strings ringing (either by contact or sympathetic resonance)
Had to watch 4 times cause I am jealous of your guitar hr geiger is king
Trying to learn sweeping is what made me fall off of playing guitar back in the day and honestly that's such a great tip
Thanks bernth awesome for that techniques ❤
Thank you for your videos man
Aaaaaah it's gonna take a while for me to be able to even use most of these tips

Bernth is the kind of person to use a pick on the floor when told to sweep the floor
#2 helps a ton! Thank you!
The "try adding open strings" part remembered me of power rangers, so i liked it

Master😮
That's a wonderful $7k guitar. Congratulations, good sir.
Excellent
I always learned to play sweeps with my forearm, not my wrist. That way each note is hit with the same pic angle
Nice nice guitar of yours
Hell yeah. Thank you
