  • In this video I visit WWT Slimbridge. I spent my time visiting the hides to photograph the wild birds. Every birder was buzzing with the possibility of seeing the rare White Rumped Sandpiper. One individual had been sighted and everyone was eager to see it. I also many othe interesting birds such as water rail, cranes and a northern pintail.

    Hi Darrell. Great video. Wow wasn’t there loads of Lapwings there! You did well to see the Water Rail and the White Rumped Sandpiper. Thanks Jon and Sandra

    Nice video, often the birds are a little too far away, especially on the estuary. Keep up the good work.

    I've only been there once, many years ago, and would love to go again! Great variety of birds. I liked how you put the pintail duck and then the long-tailed tit pics one after the other - both long tailed birds, and then the water rail and dunnock - both grey+brown birds! Very organised! Great video, enjoyed it very much!

      I would love to pretend that this was intentional at most the organisation was subconscious more likely dumb luck. Glad you enjoyed it though.

    Es ist beneidenswert, wie viele Hide es für Naturbeobachter, Vogelfreunde und Fotografen es in England gibt und voller Freude sehe ich dies und nehme es zur Kenntnis👌
    Ich lebe in Österreich und kenne eine einzige öffentlich zugängliche Hide, was ich persönlich sehr schade finde und das Desinteresse der Bevölkerung offenlegt.
    Danke, für das interessante und schöne Video👌Schönen Gruß 🙋

      Thank you Erich. Google did a wonderful job of translating your message. We are very fortunate to have many reserves to visit some at a cost, but many are free or through membership to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) glad you enjoyed the video I have several more visits to reserves planned in the next few months. I am excited about a trip to the coast at the end of May to photograph sea birds. Look for that some time in June.

    Nice video darrell, I think others in the hide were pulling you leg😂😂😂 about the rumped sandpiper as I couldn't see any difference in the birds so difficult

      @DarrellOakdenPhotography  Год назад +1

      I wouldn't have told any difference but the serious birders were getting really excited.
