2024 marks 20 years of IL Divo. Now you can hear why they're so big worldwide! I've done at least 8 meet and greets with them, and i have to say that they're the nicest people I have ever met in my life! When you're in the meet and greet with them, they make you feel like you're the centre of their universe, for the short time you're with them. They've changed my life for the better for ever for sure!

My daughter and I just went to see them this past Saturday as they're doing the yearlong tribute tour for the phenomenal Carlos Marin who suddenly died of COVID although vaccinated last December. They've got Steven LaBrie filling in this year, taking Carlos's part, but obviously it's not the same. One thing they've been doing during these tribute concerts is just having David, Urs & Sebastien come out saying they'd "like to sing with Carlos once more. So they have the 4 Stoll's set up, but of course there's just an empty stool with a spotlight on it where Carlos would sit. They sing Hallelujah, & bring him in on his parts through audio...it is beautiful, but has lots of us in floods of tears. I'd STILL suggest you check out Nights in White Satin live. At any rate, the concert was spectacular. Everything they sing is gorgeous.

I used to follow them - went to 2 concerts - they were wonderful but Carlos Marin, the Spanish singer died from Covid last Christmas which sadly changed the dynamics - they have been around 20 years - this is back then. They are at the Colloseum in Rome.

The gift that is Il Divo, with the incredible booming baritone voice of Carlos Marin, should be heard by everyone on the planet!! This stellar rendition of "Amazing Grace" will be etched in my mind and heart as the BEST of Carlos's beautiful voice. He will be sorely missed, for sure. Il Divo needs to have a baritone voice in the group to round out the other three members' gorgeous voices, hence the addition of Steven LaBrie. He is extremely gifted in his own right. I don't like to use the word "replacement," and there is much fan controversy over Steven's addition to the group. You will never "replace" Carlos, and you should never compare the two, as they each had/have their own special talents that they brought/bring to the group. Without a baritone voice to carry the group forward though, you not only witness the loss of Carlos, but the possible loss of Il Divo as a whole, and that would be incredibly tragic!! Never saw this video of them before. Amazing Grace with bagpipes (doesn't matter who performs it) always has me choking and in tears. I don't know why, but I just can't handle it. Glad you enjoyed it too
I saw them in concert in a very small venue with a close intimate feel. Was in tears most of the concert bc of the sheer beauty. This is a very big rabbit hole. Start with their earlier stuff first
I recommend a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro with the song "El perdón" She has a very particular voice. And she always transmits with those characteristic melismas she has. Diana is also very versatile when it comes to singing different styles. The truth is that she is a very versatile singer. Best regards.
