I love seeing the homes from back then. It gives me an idea what my ancestors lived in. My 3rd great grandfather was born " somewhere" in Virginia in 1803. And that is where my brick wall is in my researching. All the rest of my tree is going great.genealogy can be fun and at the same time a great big headache.

I want both houses. The Stine fireplaces were so well built they could be new. Just strip outer boards. Tag and dismantle the logs. Repair the good ones and replace the rotten ones. Repair/build new foundation and put it back together again. Put on a new roof..
The encroachment of foliage is going to make it venerable to decay faster. The first house initially was for all seasons and that low roof would have made heating that room easier. The floor joists for 2nd floor are in great shape.
Of course you know where I'd like to move them to. 😉
I love history, but will he ever do multiple platforms. Many of us won't do Facebook.
This was wonderful and just what I needed!

Todd, beautiful old homesteads, don’t be to disappointed you did not find much, people were poor back then, we have experienced the same thing. Nice to see Brian again and meet Scott. That field that will be developed keeps producing. God Bless.👍👏😀

Thanks Twins. All the rich settlers lived on the best land along the coast. People went west searching for land and were some of the poorest entering the country. It's a tale of 2 stories really.
