That's the same guy as the frog but when he was a lot younger, before he was defeated and banished from the end, living a depressing and secluded life. And on top of all that he was turned into a powerless frog. He's gotten a massive vibe check and is now powerless, which probably explains why he isn't a sociopathic, ambitious maniac at the main time atm.
Your reaction was as entertaining as always~☆ In terms of the episode, this was incredibly fun and super worth the wait with the animation, imagery, VFX, SFX and the story~!!! And, the characters were equally amazing to lean about and see in battle, but Lance easily topped them all. In the present, It's logical enough for him to only be a fraction of what he used to be as Lord of the Void Island/The Void Lord since It had been a long time that he had to physically fight again given that his title had been revoked, he himself exiled, living in seclusion and just reduced to a sort of an insulted legend with the disgraceful "Rogue Ender Mage" title. He was also quite overconfident during his fight with Abigail and Kane, hence why he lost, but from this we can clearly see that if his physical form is to be restored and if he takes the fight seriously, he can easily be on the front lines and fight with little to no difficulty and make use of the Ender Crystals that the Frostbourne are currently in possession of. Now, whether he'll go on too betray them and restart his conquest with The Ender Watcher's gone remains to be seen, but I secretly do hope that he does because he strikes me as the sort who's like Naeus in the sense that both are subservient to the top until they are in a position to be at the top and the two of them care about their respective kingdoms to want to rule and ensure their glory, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens~☆
Lance may be crazy but I think he said that to Skylor to F with her head. He doesn't care about Sora. Also the Ender Watchers are not in this episode. The Gateways kingdom is the weakest Kingdom. In the main tineline, the Watchers are a smaller force. If they had the full army of any one Kingdom, Naeus would have lost. However the other kingdoms don't care and ignored any call for help sent. I think Rain will split his time between the 2 serieses. I can comment again when I find out.
Thanks for the information hard to believe that the other kingdoms just abandoned the Ender Watchers It's just my personal opinion but I don't think the Gateway kingdom is the weakest, in the prologue Skylor said the other kingdoms Lance taken over are "Likely going to fall", which kinda means she knew they were weaker then her kingdom
@edmole You're welcome The reason the other kingdoms would abandon the Ender Watchers is because their philosophy is inward perfection. They would rather watch the other kingdoms fall if it meant they had peace. Rain was the one who said the Gateways was the weakest kingdom. The Orchid City and Moon Kingdom are both very close to the Void Isles. They were likely the first attacked and were caught off guard. The average Moon Kingdom citizen is known to use meteors as their weapon. Apollo is much stronger. Each End major End Lord (Skylor, Lauretta, Lance, Ceris, Vordus, Apollo, Lhara, and Marcel) are about equal in strength before the war. In terms of military strength, Skylor's Kingdom is the weakest. According to Rain. But yeah, I see where you are coming from.

Yeah, he went through alot. I'm a bit worried that he'll betray again though
