- My Big Turbo Lincoln Mark VIII has NEVER hit as hard as it should! We could tear into it and put in a looser converter, a smaller turbo, and re-gear it, and that would probably fix it. The Mark 8 brought me to this channel. I like all the builds but this will always be my favorite.
I’m commenting before even watching the video. This car brought me to the channel. My dad had a black one as a company car when I was a kid. We were on the way him from the gym and he farted and then rolled the windows down and floored it to get the stink out. Good times.

Man I wish I had my old "Bro-ham" back. A 75-shot would have put it in the mid-10's, for sure. No turbo, though - the mill was a basic 460 with a re-worked camshaft purchased directly from Bobby Chandler's shop, as the only power-adder aside from the headers. If you remember the car Jack Lord drove the last few years of the original "Hawaii Five-O" TV series, that's what I had {1974 Mercury Marquis}. Mine was "Burnt Umber," with a Carmel vinyl top and matching LEATHER interior {standard as part of the "Brougham" option package}. You couldn't get any more "Grandpa" if you tried.
Anthony, your build is like spiking Grandpa's prune juice with Everclear AND LSD. Total riot!! "Gonzo" would be the perfect name for it, so help me Smokey Yunick...........

We have a very mild BB that tickles 500 whp. We keep increasing the shot and are now at 300. It's an absolute riot on the street from a 30 mph roll. It's like a bus hits you from behind when hitting the button!

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the nitrous began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive...." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas.
The "Road closed" sign is great lol.
That's how you know it's a closed course. 😉

Having the exhaust outlet pointing right at the nitrous bottle is a really smart move. It eliminates the need for a bottle heater.

I love this car and the build more than I should. I'd love to see it with a true exhaust with maybe a cutout to keep Tony happy, and maybe a water to air intercooler to keep it more sleeper but be more reliable than meth. Next to die is the trans I'm betting. I love these 4v mod motors, so much better than the 4.6 3v pos they followed it up with.
I think we gotta go back to stock wheels and sneak an exhaust out the back!
@StayTunedTA yeah, stock wheels with mickeys. Could you run the stock back section of the exhaust? Then, run another wastegate in the downpipe that opens to a straight pipe when it sees over like 2psi ? As much as I like safety, I'd hate to cage it or remove any of the luxury out of the interior. Hell if it was mine I'd make the ac work lol.

The 4.6 3v’s weren’t bad engines just not as much aftermarket support as the 4v. The 5.4 3v’s were the problematic engines that everybody knows about.
Lol, do you know why an engine doesn't get aftermarket support? Because they're junk. If it was so great, why did ford replace it so quickly? They usually keep their engines for over a decade, but the 4.6 and 5.4 had too many flaws to warrant building performance parts for them because there is better options out there
