- Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York.

Protesters shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end military aid to Israel, close to his Brooklyn home. About 300 arrests took place at Grand Army Plaza, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide. The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

Isreal has thousands of men, women, and children locked up without charge and use some to trade from hamas hostages. What are they if not hostages?
According to the Associated Press, Israel had 1200 hostages (including the elderly and children as young as six) kidnapped without any explanation and held from several months to several years in what it calls "Administrative Detention" in August. By March of this year they had kidnapped another 7,300 Palestinians from the West Bank alone.
