Can’t wait to watch your review on it, at the moment I am still super happy with the mobility and performance of my 16” Max maxxed out , cos I need to be able to use it’s performance anywhere, but this Studio does sound like a great stationary computer to hve too 😊👍

Good luck with your purchase! I've just watched Max Yuriev's (MaxTech) video on the "traps" regarding the configuration that'd give us most value for the Tom, sorry, I meant buck - and he recommends the Ultra alternative after all, the M1 Ultra w. 20 core CPU, 48 core GPU and 32 core neural engine. Then choose the RAM according to the wallet as well as the internal SSD. Not that I'm buying, but I noted this down for the consideration in the fall. I believe I'll then be getting the Studio... If Apple releases the M2 Mac Pro that's aimed at pro-pros in the fall, they might be adding a little of upgrades to the Studio line I guess. In any case, even the basic Studio Max option is an amazing machine..

All of these options are great. I decided on the 10 core CPU and 24 core GPU Max, mostly because it was considered the best performance without throttling in the MacBook Pro series. the 64GB memory is crucial for layers and special effects using FCPX it will easily handle my workflow.😁

I have the M1 Mini and I bought the 16” MacBook Pro M1 a few months ago, now it time to get the Mac mini Ultra, but before I do this I want to see how it works out for you

I agree if you already have the MacBook Pro there’s no reason to invest in the studio. either way you can’t go wrong
