That’s awesome! Are all nepenthes, that are big enough, capable of doing that? I have 2 Gaya and 1 Veitchii x lowii x Mira. The Veitchii can for sure digest small animals?
Hi Dom when are we going to see Part 2 of your spring opening of new boxes 📦, we're all dying to see you carry on opening with your friend from the airport!!! PLEASE DOM 🙏
Wow. I live in California and I have more than ten cats. Normally this means I have no mice or rats but a few weeks ago my neighbors moved and cleaned out their huge trash pile. Suddenly out of the blue there were rats over running my yard and my cats could not kill them fast enough. The rats are gone now, but I could have used one of these plants at the time. Don't you have a website where you sell plants? If you do put a link to it, if you don't make one, I might be confused, there might be another RUclipsr with a similar name who has a website?
Well rats! Ha The website is RedleafExotics.com Also nepenthes are by no means going to eradicate a mouse/rat problem. They couldn’t hold enough pitcher to be effective and they have to be huge, which take a lot of time and skill to grow them perfectly. Also not all nepenthes get large enough to do so. Cats and sticky traps work way better. In California they would require a greenhouse or indoors. They would definitely struggle year round outside. Fun plants to get into provided their care is met. Thanks
My English is so so bad, I don’t realize what he was talking about even he said that word”mouse” again and again, and I was totally not ready for what he would pinched out.🚑
They chew my pitchers and my shipping supplies, so lll take all the extra growth the plant will now produce from devouring it ☺️ in any other situation I’d say it! Ha
Hey Domi Yes Nature is what it is. It's fascinating it's thriving on life it's. There's a mouse There's a trap. Poor little creature but yes Predator and prey. I am sure you didn't abuse that mother nature's creation. Keep posting your beauty of nature 👀🤩 Please Your follower. Mitzz
I have access to rainwater to water my pitcher plants with, but it's a bit green, as it comes off my roof, so it definitely has algae in it, does it have too high nutrient content to get nepenthes to pitcher? My cape sundews do fine on the same water, and are producing dew and flowers galore.
If you sing the circle of life song it makes the sad feels go away lol
you are fantastic and so are the nepenthes. WOOHOO SEEDLINGS SAVED :D
Peltata x truncata wasn’t having the kids get eaten! Ha
thank you! 💚
He casually explained away letting the pitcher plant drown a mouse 🐁
Mouse got caught lacking

We need more growers like you here in the UK
Reminds me of my pet snake
Will it digest humans?
Maybe if you fit inside lol

I would have saved the mouse, there is no need to let the mouse die like this

Very exciting!!! I don’t like vermin!!😂
Make a video about nepenthes argentii
Beautiful and deadly plant.
Where are you located?!?
It’s nature!
Another mouse eating Nepenthes is N. Attenboroughi also a species found in the Philippines like N. truncata 😉
Yup! My truncata eat mice too! My attenboroughii isn’t quite large enough 😉
Do you think that a Miranda, sanguinea, or any robcantleyi cross could eat mice when they are mature?
I’d say Miranda and some Rob crosses certainly can:) the bigger the trap the higher the chances.
Seems like all gardeners here have no mercy on the poor thing 🤐
