    It's really sad what happened with Amanda. She had amazing comedic timing and a gift for entertaining people as a kid. But her parents didn't protect her, and she ended up getting exploited like basically every other child star does.

    I really wish people would stop blaming what happened on Amanda bynes to drugs and the pressure of being famous and realize that she has been open about her diagnosis of bipolar disorder and has been open about how she was severely s/a'd repeatedly growing up and was forced to have an abortion against her will because the person who got her pregnant was a person of high standing where she worked. The poor girl is battling mental health issues that are far outside of her control and she really did nothing to cause this other than her parents putting her on TV. I really wish that she would be left alone, at least until she decides whether or not she wants to come back to Hollywood on purpose. She is a very creative person and is an amazing actress who actually holds an award for being the youngest person to ever hold their own variety show or talk show, and she deserves to be remembered for those reasons rather than people focusing on her bipolar disorder and PTSD.

I wish that people would be more sympathetic to addicts because it can happen to anyone under the right circumstances. I hope Amanda's doing well and will be able to live a stable, happy life.

Obviously it would be nice if family could take care of folks in these cases, but not all families are willing or able to do so… and that’s if the person even has a family. • @squanchysquanch1840
      @squanchysquanch1840 Год назад +2

      @@averysspookshowspectacular6205 there are half-way houses, sober living homes, shelters etc. there are folks who take care of vulnerable people. Like I said, having family do this is probably the main viable option, but isn’t an option for everyone. And I don’t think family members should be forced to take care of mentally ill adults. My older brother is mentally disabled due to drug overdoses, my best friend in high school was emancipated by his parents at 17 and went schizophrenic due to meth use. He is still living on the streets as far as I know. These issues are very relevant to me, so I certainly have compassion for folks going through things like this, but there’s no easy solution. Ofc it would be nice to house everyone and have folks look after them, but we don’t live in a utopia and human nature shows us that often times these people are taken advantage of or treated poorly by their caretakers, even by their own family sometimes. So I don’t think there’s really a valid solution that has been discovered, at least not yet. I don’t think socializing these issues would be effective, even if we did have the resources to do so. It’s easy to go on about how terrible and sad it is, it’s an entirely other thing to figure out an effective solution.

    I love how it's well known that giving power to a mob doesn't result in rational decisions, yet, they let a mob have Britney Spears be on her own again, and now look at that mass. She's completeley mental, and the same mob is not there to take responsibility. Those internet people are completely egotistical and only act from a fanboy standpoint, not knowing her personally.

    Very biased, one-sided reporting that convinently (and frustratingly) ignores the root _cause_ of her recent mental instability.
    She had some terribke thinfs happen to her at Nick and as a child.
    She was _living_ with known pedophile weirdo Dan Schneider at a point in her life whole filming The Amanda Show.
    On top of that, she was _constantly_ working and now involved in the same hold that Britney was just freed from.
    (Or, I know her parents were pushing for it, i dont know if theyve succeeded, though.)
    Everyone im that young childs life failed to protect her during a most vulnerable stage in her life.
    The very least you can do while youre pimping out her problems for your own gain is afford her the simple decency of reporting on the _entire_ story instead of just the moments you deem "entertaining" and salacious enough.

    It's strangely coincidental to me that she had a breakdown/issues right as soon as she was supposed to be a part of the "All That" reunion. Breakdowns and problems like that are very much linked to trauma, I am wondering if something happened to her because of that show or someone abused her. That Dan Schneider guy was sometimes in that show, wonder if it's related to him, as there's claims he was an abuser re: underage people.

    Some child stars end up like this, others don't, it all depends on the parents. That's why there's groups like A Minor Consideration and they have to follow rules, which is there are things like twins playing really young children i.e. Mary Kate Ashley Olsen.
    It's so weird to me because Amanda (along with The Olsens and Lindsay Lohen) was the born same year I was, our lives couldn't be anymore different.

    Cases like Amanda make you wonder if being a star actor at a young age is actually worth it. On the surface the money, opportunities, fame & all the perks of achieving stardom so young seems to instantly make it seem well worth it & a extremely desirable postion but it seems there's a very high probability of self destruction caused by the seedy entertainment industry & it's extremely shady reputation along with losing your privacy, growing up in the public eye where any mistakes you make is put under a microscope for the world to see & judge or the inevitable paranoia you would get about the intentions of the people you meet & surround yourself with not to mention fearing the higher possibility of attracting obsessive mentally unstable "fans" the more popular you become which would make anyone feel uneasy & feel the need to have your guard up at all times. You seem to have to subject yourself to the dark, dangerous rituals & reality of hollyweird to truly make it, are all the perks of stardom actually worth it?
