This overview was extremely well done. Thank you guys! I went ahead and got myself a copy reserved at Essen finally after being on the fence for some time.
I am STOKED for this one! Board and Dice and David Turczi is a dream team! Theme is alright but mechanically this seems right up my alley. Just wanna watch a solo playthrough to see how that goes before I decide to jump in. Great overview and thanks for working on that and posting!
Play through coming out tomorrow! But it's 2p not solo
@@TheBrothersMurph Still looking forward to it! Thanks for the heads up!
Cheers!
@@davidturczi5713 The man himself! Allow me to fanboy for a moment...you are decidedly my favourite designer right now. My most played games this year are Weather Machine (13) and Darwin's Journey (10) - all solo. Anachrony is a top 20 game all-time for me. I just ordered 3 Ring Circus based on seeing you designed the solo mode. And I received Terracotta Army as a gift from my wedding registry and played it three times (all solo) this past week...and LOVE it. I moved across country from my gaming group earlier this year and solo gaming has been the main way for me to still enjoy my favourite hobby. And when I see your name attached to something I am instantly interested. Please keep up your outstanding (and prolific - how do you find the time??) work!
That was a great explanation, can't be dealing with hour long explainer videos!
Cheers!
I played my first game last night. I really enjoyed it!
I was waiting for your video about this game. Thank you!
Looking forward to the playthrough. I saw this on BGG recently, and I think it looks like a big complex euro of the kind I haven't really played yet, but definitely looks interesting.
I can see influences from Brass Birmingham and Barrage in the overview so look forward to seeing it in action.
Looks like a new take on a Brass foundation (network building to move fuel to flip buildings for points). I'm in.
Yeah definitely a bit of dna shared here
If Brass and Barrage had a child.
Seems to take a lot of ideas from Brass, Barrage, and Great Western Trail. All great games, so lets see if this plays well also.
Hype! So excited for this!
I like when an overview is this length. Wanted to get an idea of the game without watching a 30min “how to” or long review. Thanks.
intriguing!
At first glance this seems to have A LOT of DNA from Barrage with significantly less 'relentlessly getting fucked over by your opponents.'
lollllll
Is this a prototype copy? The edges of all the carboard bits looks ROUGH.
Yeah it’s a demo copy that recently went through gen con so it’s safe to say it’s got some high miles on it haha
This game very much also needs a thematic breakdown, the 10,000 ft view. Or a “macro” overview to go with this “micro” overview.
Specifically “this area is for doing this… which produces this… which feeds into this area that allows you to do this, which then leads to completing the end goals which are these.”
I’ve read the rules but just not seeing any flow to this game yet.
I lived with several color blind people over my life. I can tell you the color pallette they used for this one will cause many issues. If playing under dim light the game these oranges and greens will be really, really hard to tell apart. Big miss there.
Ah copy that. One thing to note, this isn’t a final production copy so the colors may change. We don’t know for a fact however
Does he mean Dollar? .... oh right Thaler. What was I thinking?
Ha we should try to be clearer in our pronunciations
hahaha nooo I just thought it was a slip then thought "oh i'm dumb" haha literally googled thaler@@TheBrothersMurph
Wait are yall actually saying Thaler? I thought i was having a stroke because i also hear “thaler” in all of JonGetsGames videos…
Yah if you Google it that’s what the currency was called at the time. It’s not a joke or anything the brothers were being legit haha
The word Dollar derives from Thaler. And Thaler is a short word for Joachimsthaler.
Why is this east Germany 😂
Looks solid gameplay wise but man this game is HIDEOUS. I haven't seen a more clashing and garish color palette in a while. Absolute turn off.
Exactly my thought
I am sure gameplay will be great but the board looks so busy with all of the colors. This game will suffer from the poor artistic choices. Will be passing on this one
Copy that copy that
That board is Horrible.
Damn dude... this video is so clean. This is not even my type of game I like, I am never going to play or buy this, but opened the video because I heard of this game on a podcast and wanted to see how it looked like... and your video is on another level. It is crystal clear, your explanation is so good and simple. the B-Roll is freaking crispy. Congratulations, this is great. I'm subscribing, and I don't even like this game :D
That might be legitimately the raddest comment we’ve ever received. We take a lot of pride in how we execute these overviews so we are super stoked when people notice and dig it!
@@TheBrothersMurph Hahhaha, awesome! I'm being honest, I got the just of the game super easy and I wasn't evem interested. And I know how these things take a lot of work, thanks for doing it, it's really good and not over the top. And the Oathsworn overview is also super good as well, I just watched it :)
Brass?
No this is a board game. It’s made out of cardboard
