I also saw someone once explaining that one of the spoken messages was them apologizing for the inconvenience. I thought that was quite neat though typically Japan to apologize to people for an ambulance messing up the normal order of things for a couple of seconds.
The Dutch one is actually not correct. The tri-tone sirene has long been removed from Dutch ambulances due to European laws/regulations requiring that emergency vehicles all sound the same. There's a learner vehicle from the fire department in Groningen that had a quad-tone like siren that almost sounded like the one in the video but it was not the same: the third note was off-key. ruclips.net/video/1JxaQyl7vT4/видео.html
That Japanese ambulance says "Blah blah blah, move out our way plz". Usually "We are crossing. Thank you for cooperation.", so it would be caught by heavy traffic jam.
0:42 it yells only saying “I’m approaching intersection” or “I’m turning right” it’s activated with different controls but the ones that sound like the driver is the PA
The dutch one hasn't been allowed on new priority vehicles since 2009, with a transition period for existing vehicles until 2014. Did you have a time travellers tour of ambulance sirens by any chance? :p
That’s because it’s the Hi-Lo tone off the Whelen Alpha, Beta, 295 and Gamma series and the Standby RSG sirens. Most UK emergency vehicles use a Whelen or RSG and have for the past 30 years at least, but would usually use wail, yelp and phaser tones. Just happens that the hi-lo is more common in London.
Several years ago, I got stung by a bee and didn't have an epi pen. The nearest hospital was 15 miles away. I grew up in the sticks and was lucky that the ambulance wasn't a wagon pulled by a team of draft horses. The ambulance had the French sounding siren even tough I live in Michigan.
It is actually a very well researched idea: the heavy tremolo like effect makes it much easier to have directional awareness in between high rise buildings in big cities. A similar thing was done where the front of the ambulance (and maybe also fire trucks, I'm not sure) produced a high-key two-tone siren and the back produced a low-frequency siren which made it easier to distinguish the direction it was travelling because of how the Doppler effect works in different in those 2 different frequencies.
That is so not true. In india we dont have Ambulance sirens like that. Instead we have one family member riding in front of the ambulance making everyone move out of the way and even honking and showing road rage at the very own ambulance driver who is simply trying to follow him. 😂 sometimes he even takes the scooter inside the hospital to fetch the doctor or the patient is strapped to his back with a bunch of stoles from the house and he directly delivers the patient to the doctor's footstep.
The German one has inofficial, but very widely accepted lyrics: Too~ laaate~, too~ laaate~, too~ laaate~ Zu spääät~, zu spääät~, zu spääät And sanitäter (paramedic) also often get called sanitöter. jemandend töten = to kill someone.
Oh, and just to be clear ... this is part of German (not that we're the only ones with that kind of humor) gallows humor. We cherish and are thankful for all paramedics, of course.
Bro travelled round the world, got in an accident just so that he could find out what the ambulances sounded like. Mad respect
Working out which country is easiest to commit insurance fraud
Bro there ambulance vids no need for that bruh

Yes
Yes, Japan, the country where the people say "it could be improved" to mean "this is utter garbage and you should start from scratch"
Frrrrt
I also saw someone once explaining that one of the spoken messages was them apologizing for the inconvenience. I thought that was quite neat though typically Japan to apologize to people for an ambulance messing up the normal order of things for a couple of seconds.
That Doppler effect is on point!
The eerie and wobbly sound of Netherland ambulance siren, makes you think that the final boss it's coming to get you instead of the ambulance.
I went to Japan a few months ago and you perfectly captured the siren sound perfectly. Can't tell you how many times I heard the siren over there XD
the netherland and india made me laugh way more than i expected, the stereotype is real

The Netherlands one you used is the old one, it has been replaced with a twin tone several years ago.
But it is interesting anyway. Tells so much about the countries. 😊
Drietoon klinkt lekker nostalgisch
I remember staying in Milan for two weeks and every night while trying to sleep I'd hear that tone. Still haunts me to this day.
Imagine living right by the side of an Italian road where ambulances and police cars pass by at least once a day...
Oh wait, it's me! 😅
@@pierfrancescocosta6336 wouldn't be surprised if it was in the same area then!
Omg as a Milanese I love this comment. ❤ Hope you enjoyed your time in our amazing city !
The Netherlands siren sounds like it's going to turn into No Surprises by Radiohead.
It is unfortunately not correct, we lost our tri-tone years a go.
All Japanese ambulances are tsundere, of course they scream at you! But they love you and will do everything to rescue you!
as someone from belgium i agree, but we love our sirens.
Bill Bailey has a fun skit on ambulance sounds!
Aight so i'm from Belgium, and it's so rare for them to use this one. We pretty much have the same as france
Maybe this is for extra attention like if the other does not work well enough.
I never thought that there would be different sirens in other countries. Does make sense though, I guess.
Very educational video! 👍
0:43 LOL! 🙂

The Italy one bangin, the cars be dancing out the way😂
Yeah thank you we dance a lot here !! 😂❤️🇮🇹
The Japan one sounds like someone repeatedly opening and closing a door at a Circle K.
LOL that's perfect
The circle k door is F# D, Japanese one is just a little bit higher than that
germany's siren sounds like the beginning to the 28 days later theme 😂
The Indian siren sounds very Indian actually, impressive!
0:42 it yells only saying “I’m approaching intersection” or “I’m turning right” it’s activated with different controls but the ones that sound like the driver is the PA
Netherlands' sirens play when you enter Lavender Town
The dutch one hasn't been allowed on new priority vehicles since 2009, with a transition period for existing vehicles until 2014. Did you have a time travellers tour of ambulance sirens by any chance? :p
That UK suren was perfect
wait till you hear austria's police siren. They manage to get a legitimate rhythm going.
France sounds calming and creepy
Italy does too
Netherlands be like a goofy krusty krab sounding car alarm and no one can tell me otherwise
Bro got the lightskin stare 😂😂😂
The day ambulances in India sound like bro just mentioned, I will die of laughter. 😂
Him: French ambulance
Also him: plays a swiss siren
0:51 remember watching yt vids with this siren
Finally you demonstrate what these tools were designed for.
Australia’s ambo siren is just big long up and down sound
Not sure about other countries but I think Singapore has multiple sirens
in japan, police cars and fire engines also yells at you
I like Italian, Nederlands and japans sirens!
The UK is not just London, the sirens sound the same all over the UK
Essex is not
That’s because it’s the Hi-Lo tone off the Whelen Alpha, Beta, 295 and Gamma series and the Standby RSG sirens. Most UK emergency vehicles use a Whelen or RSG and have for the past 30 years at least, but would usually use wail, yelp and phaser tones. Just happens that the hi-lo is more common in London.
If I'm not mistaken, Dutch ambulances no longer use the tri-tone sirens and more or less fell in line with the countries using two-tone sirens.
The best ones are Italy & France, the brother countries 🇮🇹🇫🇷❤️
I have immediately imagined the band Clowncore joining in here.
Italy is the best one here, and I say this as a Spaniard
Germany and Netherlands give off serious Lavender Town vibes
As an Indian I give the approval that it certainly sounds like this
Netherlands gets even creepier when it starts to speed up, tempo wise...
Wow! You're a genius. It sounded like the sirens were real
The japan just announce to get the cars outta there way
netherlands sadly do not have that anymore. just a boring 2 tone now we did hav a rhyme to go with it tho. 'let him lie there hes allready dead"
the siren sounds of emergency service vehicles
Thanks for doing my country at the end but there is also like France one.
Im italian and I can agree that our siren has some vibes.
Spot on!
0:41 omg This so Real! THANKS MY COUNTRY AMBULANCE SIRENs.😄
0:45 this not Yell. Its politely just giving it away.
0:52 Just like KoЯN in the late 90s.
