This is literally what I did, when I caught my first truffle worm.
I was shocked by 666% bait power and instantly wanted to see what I can catch with it

Not so fun fact I’ve counted how many I’ve missed since I started because my friend told me they were tough to catch and I missed 19 times
One time my minion killed 2 that were right next to each other. I didn't use the minion for the rest of the rl day

I believe the Truffle worm should instead be able to be used as normal bait and any other water source that isn't on a beach

We all have a moment thoughting that the worm can literally fish out everything rare and instead summon a boss and killed us

It was already hardmode and he already had full hallowed armor. Pretty sure he saw the biome a few times.

When i first got truffle worm, im also surprised with the 666% bait power, and tought that i can get some good loots from fishing with it
technically, you do. It has like the third strongest loot in the base game XD

I played terraria some 8 years ago when i was in school, after i wanna say 30 hours i figured out that you could catch bait with the net, and went around catching bugs, after a time, i caught one of these and went spastic with joy, i recall potioned, booked it to the beach, cast my line aaannd... died a horrible painful death.😂
Nearly a decade later ive just come back to the game this week, i deleted my old saves and started fresh, ive put in a good 30 hours again and died in the exact. Same. Fasion. I searched truffle worm memes and it brought me here, god i love this game.

When you are fishing, forget you habe a truffle worm in your inventory and get jumpscared after half an hour of peaceful fishing.
Even with the sonar potion it won’t display as anything. Just makes you want to reel it in even more with curiosity
When you made the background music sound like a speaker underwater such a great touch lots of effort lots of care
it's made even worse that you have to catch a bunch of these to fight that boss again and again XD They're almost as rare as glow spores in the jungle.

Don’t you just hate when you’re starting a new play through with a friend and you stumble across a mushroom biome. You don’t tell the friend cause you want all the good stuff but your music-addicted mind starts singing the Mushroom theme and gives it all away.

Another option is to sell them. Once I was looking for a nymph I went into a mushroom cave and 5 truffle worms appeared out of nowhere, I caught 4 and one escaped. In the end, since he did not hunt any fish in a lake, i sold them to see if he would earn some money, 10 gold for one of those little worms.

If you make rows of mushroom mid stuff and wait for a truffle worm and let it escape, it looks like a tiny missile being set off because the dude literally just falls through each layer and off into the void

I thought I needed the golden net to catch them at first but I realized it and beat it (after dying to it and having to get cloriphyte armor) I might have misspelled cloriphyte as well

I didn't know how to spawn Duke, I found her in the biome because I was looking for bait, I took it and I got scared with the power, I went to the beach because I wanted to complete the fisherman's mission and he had a house there,I was brutally murdered 🗿🍷

And it get lower when the fishing power increases so that you might catch him pre hard mode and he gets invincible p.hm just like the dungeon guardian and drop a useless weapon
This is bad game design. People shouldn't be scared of fishing because they might end up being forced to fight a 50k health beast

I was hesitant to use the truffle worm when I saw its bait power since the best bait I got was at 50% power. Glad I didn’t use it lol

The bait power is 666% for a reason. Why has nobody commented about that yet? It's the number of the beast/the devil. In this case, I'd say it's the number of the beast.

I just realized that there was a number 666 and I thought it was the number for success in getting fish but after a long time I realized that it was the devil's number.
