      Not that I'm a supporter of trump but to me she gave off a very overbearing , patronising toned speech of ambiguity and lacking any real substance. If there is one thing I respect Trump for is his conciseness and brutal honesty.

      This has been an abject failure of the US government. The US government is 48.2x worse for US citizens than in NZ.

    As an Australian, I would say that our neighbours over in New Zealanders are some of the most incredible and lovely people I’ve met. Both in Australia, New Zealand, and on my travels. No wonder they elected such a thoughtful, considerate and intelligent leader.

    The Guardian love to chop up clips to support their narrative, whether that’s chopping clips from the left or the right, I personally watched both speeches, and definitely recommend others do to, it completely changes the picture and narrative so we can all make up our own minds 👍🏼.

    In 1 year Jacinda has given New Zealand $16.50 minimum wage, 24 week paid parental leave,free university and free doctors visits for children she has to be one of the best things to happen to this country.

      qcomberette last I checked and last I heard there are over a million homeless children in Europe. What happened to your socialistic style government there? We have programs here by the way that help homeless children and homeless people. Lol

      the only volcanic eruption we have seen was in an offshore island where no one lives. That island has a long history of killing tourists. There was no special guiding from jacinda. You just made it up! Everyone in NZ went about their day as usual.

    Asian POV: I grew looking up to USA- my dream land of spending the rest of my life.
    Turning 20 now: Even if opportunity landed at my doorstep, I won't pursue the rottening American dream. Things have changed.

      i mean, Ireland is doing pretty well right...? Usually small countries have far fewer issues and therefore problems for their leaders to deal with. I would never in a million years praise Trump over Arden, we can compare the two for sure, but to directly compare a president of the united states, and the prime minister of new zealand is just a completely different ball game. but you're right really, i mean look at the US each state is so separate and unequally powerful to each other they basically serve as separate countries.
