Hey AgPhD, I have a question for you all.
Has anyone ever tried cutting the tops off cornstalks to see if this could help the ears and kernels fill out more? Plus if it rains it would help get more moisture to the ground. Not sure how corn stalks dry, but don’t they dry from the bottom up? So the more moisture in the bottom of the plant and ground the ears would pull from the lower half more. It may also help in drying faster also. If studies haven’t been done on this, maybe it would be worth a try? I’d love to hear back from you all, thanks Rick!…

Take a moment and remember the poor grain farmers of Canada, who are condemned to pay massive carbon taxes to dry their grain.
