    About Living Life Barefoot
Hi there, my name is Malerie. Most of my life I've lived barefoot, it's true. I grew up barefoot, I got married barefoot, I even named my Microgreens business after being barefoot. I am always barefoot! But this is not one of those channels. :)
My family and I live on a 5-acre farm, where we raise sheep, meat birds, and we have egg laying chickens. I try really hard to grow food in our raised beds and makeshift greenhouse. What I am really good at is growing Microgreens. I even started a successful business being a microgreens farmer and now I teach others how to grow micros from home and how start their own microgreen business. We homeschool our 2 boys, Gavin and Dylan and we recently started traveling. I have a passion for health and wellness and so I decided to start a channel to share it all.... while being barefoot!
So, relax, kick your shoes off and enjoy the show!

You are right. We did the cornish crosses this spring. Our first year doing meat birds. They didn't do much pecking and scratching. Lots of laying around. But actually super friendly birds.😀

My family is doing the same. No corn or soy. In our 5 th year of processing, 2nd year for Turkeys. We use black used pickle jars for storing feed.

@@barefootmicrogreens keep them I’m a secure area first 6-8 weeks. That’s when our 1st group of chicks raised died. Great one day, gone the next. 6/10 made it. This time all 10 are healthy, at the 6th week now. After the rains leave Florida, they’ll be in a Turkey tractor my husband made out of PVC piping. Also get a huge pot to process them. Didn’t fit into the ones we process chickens in!

Currently going to be at Ozark Homestead Festival and Veg Fest in Minnesota. We are looking for more events to attend. Do you have any recommendations? Joel Salatin is coming to Indiana in March I believe; we are going to try to be a vendor at that one.
