Im sitting in my bedroom right now, watching the snow gently fall outside my window. My wife is beside me, sleeping peacefully. I'm just outside Nashville (where im from) and I can't stop thinking about my dad, who introduced me to John Denver. This song will forever be a connection to him. My father has been gone now for quite a few years now, and when i listen to this song we're back in his old '69 chevy truck driving down actual country roads with this song playing as loud as those old chevy speakers could go. You're never too old to be young.. or at least remember being young.
these are great songs for a quiz!! usually every other quiz i do plays all the generic songs of their era, but this quiz definitely had me guessing!! do more!!!
Thank you for making a quiz that isn't full of the same songs as every other one. 90's was a real struggle for me and tanked what was a decent score. What a stupid comment.
I thought I knew the 80’s more but apparently I know WAY more 70’s. I knew every song and artist of the 70’s but didn’t know some of the later 70’s titles.
I'm a 90s baby (1993), but I really didn't know much of the music. 😅 70s: 12/20 80s: 10/20 90s: 4/20 My mom raised me on 50s, 60s, & a little 70s (disco mostly). My Dad raised me on 80s (alternative/new wave) & some 70s (rock).
As a child in the 1960s and 70s, I knew 100% of the 70s songs because not only did I love them, but in that age, we were forced to listen to the same songs over and over on the radio. No choice. I got 99% of the songs of the 80s because either I heard them over and over on the radio or saw them over and over on MTV. No choice. I got about 60% of the 90s songs because I was working by then and had less time to be able to listen to music. Fun game, thanks.
@@komitkazi Lol, good one! And I used that wording on purpose to illustrate my point. Thanks for the additional one. Yeah, I worked over and over again for 40 years. :)
Great quiz and quite a challenge. A lot harder than most other quizzes I have seen. I made a system giving a point for artist and another for title: The score was 70s: 11/40 (1-10: 10, 11-20: 1) 80s: 26/40 (1-10: 16, 11-20: 10) 90s: 12/40 (1-10: 8, 11-20: 4) If you add those who was right on the tip of my tounge I would say I probably would have 750 points..... ;-)
Fun! I gave myself 1 point for knowing both song title & artist and .5 point when I just knew one or the other. Max points would have been 20 per round 70s- 11 80s- 9.75 90s- 14.5
It started out easy with the iconic songs from the 70's. It went downhill with the 90's. Why Hole and not Nirvana, AIC, Sound Garden, STP, Screaming Trees...........
For 70s I got 15, for 80s I had 18, and for 90s I had 11. I’m a huge fan of 80s music so only 2 songs slipped by me, 70s are listened to more by my parents and I listen to it from time to time, but the 90s just isn’t my genre, so it’s no surprise to me why I barely guessed half of the songs in that era
I love this!!! Thanks so much playing this with the family was so fun and funny enough everybody was naming songs even the little ones! Me being the youngest child I had surprisingly a score going!
What a trip down memory lane. If we are taking off half points for only remembering the song but not the artist, then: 70s, I got 17.5 out of 20 correct. 80s: Again, 17.5 out of 20 correct. 90s: I kept forgetting band names, so 15.5 out of 20 correct. Still, not bad. Thanks for the good music.
17 out 20 for the 70's..12 out 20 for the 80's. 6 out of 20 for the 90's. In all fairness they didn't do any grunge etc for the 90's. Plus the 90's was a blurr.

Great selection to the point there were songs I didn't know. I will point out one mistake you had video killed the radio star in 80s when it was released in 1979, but most people think it 80s because it was the first music video played on MTV in 1981
1:52 Fun Fact: Superstitious was released first by Stevie Wonder, but agreed to let Jeff Beck record it for his new band Beck, Bogert & Appice and their version was supposed to be the first release. Due to delays with the Beck, Bogert & Appice album, and the notion the song would perform well by Stevie Wonder's production crew, we know Superstitious to be primarily associated with Stevie Wonder...but the Beck, Bogert & Appice recording is readily available for your listening enjoyment as well.

Not Casey Kasem! lol
I knew most of the 70's and 80's, hadn't even ever heard hardly any of the 90's songs or even heard of the artists....
What a great quiz 90% pass
Got them all wow 👌 born in 60
Yes i did enjoy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact beastie boys isn’t on there is a crime and you SHALL BE PUNISHED
That was fun :) thank you
Number 7 : Red hot chili peppers - give it away
Great selection to the point there were songs I didn't know. I will point out one mistake you had video killed the radio star in 80s when it was released in 1979, but most people think it 80s because it was the first music video played on MTV in 1981
I now know for an iron clad fact when music went to crap. The 90's.
Great video. I was a 90s teen and yes the 90s did kill music, in a good way.
Pink Floyd? Motley Crue? Journey? Nirvana? NWA? Icecube? Tupac?
yeah...no floyd...
Too much from the states, which I tend to have a deaf ear for I'm afraid. Good quiz though!
