    Thank you, King Cobra. Now I know how to do the rails correctly I can get on with my recover project.
    I had a so-called professional guy recover my table, a no-name but solid and well-built item, and the results were unusable for serious play. He failed to refill the bolt holes that were an unusual feature of my slate, so that there were several 'dips' along every rail that a ball could settle into. He also completely screwed up one side rail recover so badly there was a folded staple sticking up at a side pocket. I had to buy more cloth to fix it myself. He promised to return and re-do the job right, but instead he dropped out of sight, and I never called him, either, because I didn't trust his work anymore.

    Excellent,
    I never quite angled the cloth in that pyramid shape as much as you did.
    I'll do that next time.
    Cheers 😁

    Hi Cobra. what would the stretch index be on a 7 ft non worsted cloth be?

    • @therealkingcobra
      @therealkingcobra  9 месяцев назад

      Cloths are different from manufacturer to manufacturer, so to answer your question, you need to clamp down the cloth on one side of the slate, then stretch the cloth across the slate to the other side, mark it at the maximum stretch, let it relax, then measure how far you could stretch the cloth. Once you can answer that question, then back off 3/4" inch, then you know what the stretch index is for that cloth, for that size table.

    What staple gun inside Staples are you using please

    • @therealkingcobra
      @therealkingcobra  9 месяцев назад

      1/2" crown, 1/4" leg. Pneumatic staplers are the best, far better than any electric staplers.

    what do you do if the feather strip is a little loose?

    • @therealkingcobra
      @therealkingcobra  Год назад +2

      First answer, replace the featherstrip, 2) run duct tape the length of the featherstrip on 3 sides to widen it, 3) last choice, lightly coat it with spray glue.
