on a pre-facelift C7 RS6 (2012-14) these things happen, the facelift (2015-18) are a lot stronger upgraded propshaft, clutch packs, cooling and a uprated diffs .But if you punch it all the time and launch it when ever you can ANY car with explode no car is bulletproof

The main reason you shouldn’t do brake torquing or “launches” on these cars is that they never had a proper “launch control” mode. So after hundreds of launches that these guys do over time all those components: trans, prop shaft, axles etc... get screwed big time. Actually the facelifted models had revised shafts, stronger and more robust.
