Great concept! Hi Steve, I am supposed to be flying out there on Monday for lessons, I have emailed but I think maybe you got a new one? Let me know how to contact you, thanks!

I use a swing plate that hovers an alignment rod over the ball and makes me keep my hands on plane and prevents a higher handle at impact.

Great concept. I use your drill with the mic stand and pool noodle pointing at my right hip to create a path for my handle similar to what you describe here. What I really wanted to comment on is the quality of your swing. Watching it in slow motion, and advancing it frame by frame using the period key on the keyboard, you are perfectly on plane on the backswing, and at the top your lead arm is directly in line with your shoulder plane, ideal. (Colin Morakawa is well above this plane with a bowed left wrist, not good). On the downswing, again perfectly on plane with the shaft bisecting first the shoulder, then the bicep, and lastly, perfectly on your right forearm. Wow. Have you thought about the Champions Tour? I'd be happy to caddy for you for just 8% of your winnings. I bet I'd make a bundle.

Ha it's harder to make the Champions Tour than the PGA Tour. The same guys who strummed me like a guitar 30 years ago can't even make it through the Monday Qualifiers.

    Hi Steve,
Love your dedication! Well done videos your the only guy i'll watch. Anyway quick question and without seeing my swing. I have a tendency to come through impact with a closed face that creates a pull/hook. With your exprience what's the main cause and how do i stop this?

My swing is pretty similar to yours, I’m a very good player. Shot under par in professional tournaments many times, however, I see my toe more turned down as it exits through the left shoulder, if it doesn’t, I’m very inconsistent… love any info you may have on this. Obviously if you’re a good player sometimes leave well enough alone, but any coach always tells me to look more like DJ or Collin on exit and I just dont

Yeah it's a tough call. It's not as if there's not a single golfer in the HOF who swings like you...Tom Weiskopf, Greg Norman. etc. You might also benefit from tempo training instead. If you were to make a change like this, I would make sure to have really good mental images and feels that you can pick up very quickly so you don't chase it for months and feel unnatural.
