Truly phenomenal. The fact that Aurelion still isn’t even at full power because of Targon really sends home the idea that he is beyond the scope of any threat currently loose on Runeterra. Really only the dark star entities I’d imagine can challenge a full power Asol and even then the fact that he’s been around since practically the beginning tells me even they would struggle to match him. I love this space dragon, happy to see them going all in on this concept.
@@_Sami_H as of yet are not certain if they are in the main universe. However, we do know from the presence dark star Rhast in Odyssey AU that these entities can move between universes. Dark Cosmic Jhin has lines that imply they are aware of alternate universes, and even Asols own quote, “The depths of space crawl with terrible entities. Pray they ignore this world,” could possibly imply they are present, just far off in the cosmos.
It has been such a long time since I've gotten actual chills from a trailer for LoL. Of course it was a lore-influenced one. Props to Neil Kaplan, he does amazing voice work on A. Sol.
ASol is so great, they had to release him twice. This rework is great for storytelling too. He's getting stronger cause Targon doesn't control him as much.
I don't think Targon get anything om him at all. They lore said he seal the rift because he also doesn't the void to consume his creation. If he wanted to I think he could easily break the crown
They actually nailed the power fantasy of his character. Not sure how it will actually be, but it looks much more like how his lore makes him out. Actual cosmic power.
Amazing how this ties into lore. The aspect of war Pantheon was the only one capable of keeping Aurelion Sol shackled, now that he is gone the chains are breaking. This could explain why Atreus was trying to climb the mountain and ulted to the cosmos in "The Call", likely to try stop Sol from destroying Runeterra with all those stars. At least that's how I see it
Not quite accurate. We know from the lore that Pantheon lost the control over Aurelion when Aatrox killed the cosmic entity Pantheon. That basically freed Atreus, who's body had been taken over by the entity when he ascended first and Artreus then turned his back on Targon and the Celestials which is why he fights Leona and Aurelion in the Call trailer. But Aurelion is not yet freed from Targon's control.Their grip did slip when Pantheon died, as the last line of this trailer indicates, but he is still under their control for the most part, now just mainly under the control of Aspect of Twilight aka. Zoe and no longer under Pantheon's.
This trailer gave me some good chills. This rework really does capture the immenseness and arrogance of a character on cosmic level. The "I shall be unleashed" part at 1:02 is epic. A deserving end to the trailer and decent animation to express an "unleash" on the summoners rift map. I love this.
They literally gave him the Madara Uchiha finisher as the ultimate. (Tengai Shinsei- Heaven Conceal) now that makes so much sense as both Asol and Madara have the same voice artist, Neil Kaplan.
The soundtrack, the voice, the lore, the design, and the kit. Too bad they didn't make cinematic like old times, especially Asol & Jhin champion trailer is freakin awesome.
also, his new ultimate was shown in the 2022 season cinematic - The Call, when Pantheon was fighting Leona, and a falling star knocked Pantheon down from Targon
A really great detail about this trailer is how Aurelion flies from the east to the west. At the start you can see his head approaching Targon, meanwhile his tail is just starting to fly over Zaun and he is already behind the sundisk. During all this his claw is seen in the howling abyss. Imo an amazing way to show the scale of this Dragon from the perspective of someone on the planet and honestly feels more impactful than putting him next to a galaxy since that isn't really relateable.
Let just agrees that this is the only champ in league who can one shot your whole team with one ability and no one would even complain. He’s so deserved to be op

Not only that, but I'm also going to miss the surprised faces of the others, when I Lock Aurelion sol and show the Potential. But Aurelion needed this rework. It was always frustrated to play almost perfect and still get clapped by an Assassin or fighter with just a single gap closer. Also, this Rework suits his Lore, his Power as the one who is Abel to delete an Aspect just out of spite. As one who can seal rift voids with a wimp. This is The Star forger Aurelion Sol
This resonated to me on so many levels, I couldn't even comprehend so well rn. I'm going to miss those clunky spaceballs revolving in his vicinity, but yeps, he really needed that rework (i think 😆) for him to be played and adored by many coz WE know he deserves it.

Im so glad that this video is amazing. Im still not holding hopes for the rest of the year, but I hope this video is a reflection on the rest of the year to come.
I love that most rework and character updates also have more lore added as a bonus, it at least makes the characters feel like they're progressing further and further as the seasons go by
They actually made it even more powerful (slightly) then his original trailer which seemed impossible to top. Also i just realized that the star that hit Pantheon during "The Call" is confirmed to be ASol's.

@@nicholasharlan6504 I think he’s taking about the void rift in space that Targon forces Aurelion to seal up.
Who's targon?
@@wabalaka1565 Well, you're just wrong
@@wabalaka1565 if he could break the crown he would've just destroyed runeterra
@@wabalaka1565
He could, but when he tries to, his own stars gets destroyed, and he values the stars like we value our own children
At least that's how I see it
Omg
For an unchained Aurelion Sol , Pantheon is nothing more than just ant. I don't think he went to the aurelion Sol in "The Call".
@@herseydahil3889but he literally got shot down by Aurelion Sol comet when he was fighting Leona. Why wouldn’t he be coming for Aurelion Sol?
OH SO THT WAS THE THING. YEAH I remember Atreus (pantheon) was climbing and was hit by a giant meteor both he and Irelian Got yeeted.
This is a whole new look for this Dragon 🐉
cough.. a Cosmic Dragon! pardon..

Wow, this trailer is EPIC! That last line gave me chills.
This trailer gave me some good chills. This rework really does capture the immenseness and arrogance of a character on cosmic level. The "I shall be unleashed" part at 1:02 is epic. A deserving end to the trailer and decent animation to express an "unleash" on the summoners rift map. I love this.
yeah
Had to rewatch 3 times and it still gave me the chills. Amazing voice actor matched with a perfect fit of a champion. I. Love. It.
They literally gave him the Madara Uchiha finisher as the ultimate. (Tengai Shinsei- Heaven Conceal) now that makes so much sense as both Asol and Madara have the same voice artist, Neil Kaplan.
True on that! It's one of the champion trailers that I can rewatch more than once consecutively but still get the same chills
The soundtrack, the voice, the lore, the design, and the kit. Too bad they didn't make cinematic like old times, especially Asol & Jhin champion trailer is freakin awesome.
This is so much better than the preseason cinematic ❣️❣️
I would say this nearly makes up for it, this had me sold ✨
tbh I would be more excited and hyped for the new season if they just made this the official pre cinematic
also, his new ultimate was shown in the 2022 season cinematic - The Call, when Pantheon was fighting Leona, and a falling star knocked Pantheon down from Targon
The voice acting once again gives me chills. Incredibly well done!
This dude is both a big celestial dragon and the most feared ninja in the world.
What a voice actor!
Mararaaaa uchihaaaaa
A really great detail about this trailer is how Aurelion flies from the east to the west.
At the start you can see his head approaching Targon, meanwhile his tail is just starting to fly over Zaun and he is already behind the sundisk. During all this his claw is seen in the howling abyss.
Imo an amazing way to show the scale of this Dragon from the perspective of someone on the planet and honestly feels more impactful than putting him next to a galaxy since that isn't really relateable.
As an Asol main,Hear him laugh with maniacally tone at the end of this trailer make me really happy
how psychopath are you to main asol

This is gorgeous. I hope they get to work this into the eventual cinematic for this year.
Cant imagine if asol get his cinematic would be majestic and mysty.
Its crazy that no other character rework has this much hype or even a video trailer like this in the past. I'm so happy for my boy.
Irelia and swain
Fiddlesticks?
Pantheon.
What? Almost all of them get this...Warwick, fiddles, voli, Irelia?
And if we talk about gameplay updates, this is the first of his scope.
So now we know why Pantheon was hit by ASols attack in „The Call“ (?)
Okay, I didn't expect his story to move forward along the CGU. But I'm loving it, he gets so much more kick with that.
Let just agrees that this is the only champ in league who can one shot your whole team with one ability and no one would even complain. He’s so deserved to be op

No one would complain until riot themselves decide to implement it in game
exactly
Mordekaiser will take him to brazil and kill him before he can land anything onto the mortal realm
Nah it still looks really unbalanced and not fun to play against lol
Finally, a genuinely cool designed champion will have the recognition it deserves
As a big Aurelion Sol fan, it makes me happy to finally see him in action as it deserves. As the all-mighty god of runeterra, this gives me chills.
good riddance, i remember when they first reworked him after release. then again with the massive revamp to his kit. finally hes getting the attention he deserves.
It makes you happy that they made him a boring 08/15 mage?
@@denyel4596 i don’t think it will be boring al all. Late game will feel like fighting against a final boss, and his ultimate will make good synergy with other champs. It’s different, let’s see how this ages.
It’s so fun to see they attached the “unbound” part of his lore to this trailer and rework. Like the power the could regain is finally unchained
While the rotating stars thing was a neat idea I feel that now Aurelion looks truly like a larger-than-life, powerful entity. That ult is a crash worthy of a star forger.
Wxept thta it does feel weard that hes physicaly soo smal in game, witch i get is for balance reason, but it still feels of
The way he says "And While I Long To Return To My Stars" With THAT voice.... Dude... Beautiful.
what else can you expect from Madara Uchiha?
Seeing this trailer really reminds me of the good old champ teaser he had :') Still send me chills down my spine. Really happy to see him great again.
I love how they show his spell increased in size each time and finally show his special stacked R symbolized how he's slowly regaining power and loosen the grip of Mount Targon over him.
A sol should also grow in size once he’s stacked up. He’s supposed to be big af. Like cho
Also he used the stacked R against Pantheon
Now that- that is a dragon. The chills I get from A Sol’s champion theme will never cease to leave me. Truly amazing
This feels incredible... even better than his last release. Now it looks like he truly has the power behind his words.
This is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I've got full body chills from these voice lines and ramping intensity. Wow.
Literal chills. I'm so excited. Had my last game of asol today. May he rest in peace.
As a Asol Main I upvote
Pro tips, if u miss him it's still playable in Wild rift (well i may be wrong but i don't think they did the rework there)
This is... so beautiful and majestic... I could rewatch it hundreds of times and still not be tired.
I love this voice actor, fits perfectly with Aurelion Sol's greatness.
This space dragon is the only reason why I still have LoL installed on my computer...
I literally just cried with excitement and joy, well played rito
Neil Kaplan has such a calming yet threatening voice with his characters. Like he knows he is the one in control of every situation. sends chills up my spine every time.
The ghost of the Uchiha has revived.
i was just thinking the other day of how cool it would be if they gave him a new trailer for his rework, and not only did they do that, but they also got the voice actor to come in and make new lines and everything. What a fantastic rework
And not to mention they made it CANON! Targon chained aurelions power, but with his rework, aurelion finally broke off some of those chains, hence the new powerful abilities. So cool.
Getting a glimps of what it must be like to live in a world where something like Aurelion Sol could sometimes pass by the planet and you see a Dragon shaped nightsky is crazy
"What's the matter Targon, losing your grip?"
Haven't felt such chills for a moment

NOW THAT'S A REWORK!!
I love that the CGU also progresses his lore. Targon's grip is on Asol is getting loose whicg explains his more powerful new abilities.
His voice is pure unadulterated badass.
Helps that his VA is none other than Neil Kaplan aka Madara Uchiha
I see what you did there
Can't get enough of Asol's voice. It's just perfect!
I love how this update is literally updated lore not only updated but added it isn't replacing or changing anything it's just progression of the actual character and I love that and that like "losing your grip" referring to not only the crown that holds him but just the sheer power this drago has.
(Edit:) I just realized the crack in the crown as well omg OMG that is such a cool detail
Yesss it looks as if the old Aurelion sol was weaker because of the crown but now his rework means his power is coming again, trying to obtain revenge!

because he was almost never seen in the league
and he will again shine brightly:*
Sol was a hot pick in mid lane 5 years ago. Before the meta midlaner used tele
He was amazing then got shafted hard in his reworked w. Glad to see a hopefully better version again
I’m gonna miss the balls but honestly he just wasn’t fun without w being a toggle and in the current state of the game, so scorched earth and making him a 200 year champ with infinite scaling, executes, and max percent health damage. Yeah not bad
Finally. ASol always was one of my favorit champs in terms of look and personality, now I hope he'll turn into one of my favorites to play as well.
Same! And I will continue to play him lol
I love his personality and aspect but I hated his gameplay, hopefully I’ll enjoy it more now ♥️
i can't stop rewatching this trailer. this is so good.
love his champion music, its so good, chills
This is it Riot, this is what your trailers should be this is what you should continue to do ! Finally something that reminds us League addics why we first fell in love with your world.
Now this is what I'm taking about...never been so hype for a rework trailer before...and also it interconnects with "The Call" cinematics and progresses the lore which is great... oh and nice voice acting too...give me the goosebumps everytime I hear it...gives you the "Now this is what a true Dragon" vibes.
Arelion's voice actor always freaking kills it man. S Class i love it. i got chills listening to this.
You guys dropped the ball so hard early in the year, glad to see you know how to walk back over and pick it right back up this was such an amazing effin' trailer i am so hyped, dont appreciate my main being killed but Ill let it slide because my word this dragon is such a badass now :D
"Which star is your favorite? I made that one." I'm going to miss the Super nova plays, the endless kiting and the Insect plays with the old ult.

6 years ago the original trailer of tge star forger came out. 6 days ago this video which shows his true power was released. 6 years and 6 days. Still one of the most badass designs in fiction. This is so allmighty. And that voice...

This season's cinematic looks amazing! 👌
Im so glad that this video is amazing. Im still not holding hopes for the rest of the year, but I hope this video is a reflection on the rest of the year to come.
always been the coolest champ. just wish it would reflect more in his ingame visuals
I love that most rework and character updates also have more lore added as a bonus, it at least makes the characters feel like they're progressing further and further as the seasons go by
Goosebumps! Now this is what I expect to see from Riot when they release something new, GG guys
I literally had chills all over my neck, this is what I call a perfect step up Riot, kudos to you all
After 1 year, Aurelion Sol one of my favorite champions, still impresses me with his divine voice.

My god, they really did him justice with those visuals!

Finally SOL is getting a skills he deserves
Amazingly well done. As an Aurelion main I am over the moon right now.
man this was awesome. the rework team nailed it and the narrative spun in this vid adds to it brilliantly
They actually made it even more powerful (slightly) then his original trailer which seemed impossible to top.
Also i just realized that the star that hit Pantheon during "The Call" is confirmed to be ASol's.
Absolutely love this style of trailer with the world building.
This is the first time something has actually given me chills.
Such a beautiful designed champ, glad he's finally a champion in the game.
This makes me excited for the eventual Shyvana rework. I truly hope that Riot takes the same path towards her and makes her rework as epic as this one.
As a Shyvana main, me too.
1:12 best moment
THAT WAS THE PLAN ALL ALONG. They made him stronger now because it fits his lore, the shackles put by The aspect Pantheon are weakening...his strength is returning.
Imagine a Pool Party Aurelion Sol with his empowered ulti, sending a gigantic wave with poros surfing in it
The way they showed the Sundisc being inactive, as they are no longer able to funnel his power through it. That was an awesome detail.
I like to image that asol before the rework was weak in game because of Targon, and now that they're "losing their grip" he's getting stronger
