My father was a Vascular Surgeon in NJ. I only remember going to the hospital as a kid when he did his rounds on the weekends. Always wondered if other doctors knew his research work at UMDNj. He was chief of vascular surgery there until he passed away. He dedicated his entire life to saving others and helping very ill people. Good luck in your career.
Hi, Dr Cellini you are very calm, chill and very compose. Also you do not show very varied emotions, but these are your best qualities. You are a role model and inspiration Sir!! Love your videos absolutely amazing!!
Interventional saved my leg. I have May-Thurner syndrome and clotted from lower abd. To left ankle at 26yrs old. I’m now the proud owner of 2 left iliac vein stents that I’ve had since 2006. In 2015 I had to have them ballooned after I clotted again. Turns out I also have factor V that I didn’t know about so blood thinners for life!
Man I’m jealous, our vascular surgery rotation is probably one of the most intensive of all residency. The surgery aspect is great but our vascular team has soo many patients as the primary admitting team so all the floor responsibilities are still there.
@@DrCellini Hey, is it possible to reattach the superficial dorsal vein and the frenular artery of the foreskin? What is the smallest diameter blood vessel that has been successfully reconnected? I am in a group trying to use induced pluripotent stem cells to regrow human foreskins in bioreactors for implantation in the victims.
Any tips on where to start for someone who has been out of school for a decade but wants to get into a passion. Every tine I see these I'm invigorated.
ok this is my fav rotation that you've done. so freakin cool lmao and full of big words also hell yeah love these week in a life videos!! they're awesome for both you editing wise and us watching.
Dr Cellini, you have just helped me make up my mind on what specialty I would have done if I was to have done Medicine; vascular surgery. That would be me reinforcing major blood vessels of vEDS patients Before they are too far gone and living with almost daily vomiting migraines, and wondering if they are going to pop another aneurysm any minute.
Hi, I take it that long stent is for the leg? In Cardi they were so small compared to that! How cool u are so well rounded. I worked with Doctors like u. Has to be team effort.❤train your new nurse to your way and no problems will exist🙂
I would like to ask a question. I know this is crazy on u tube to ask but my doctor dismisses my concerns. Everyone in my immediate family does before age 60 from cardio-vascular disease. They start by leg amputations and it goes down hill from there. I mean everyone mother, grandfather, uncle's, brother all died the same way. All in the 50's. I am 52 I am vegan don't smoke not diabetic. I have had a blood clot in my leg. I now take Xarelto. I want to be tested for any problems before they present a problem. My doctor says no. I have good insurance. I have pain in my legs and feet. Doctor still says no I don't need it. How does a person get to be evaluated n tested for hardening of the arteries in their legs n elsewhere. I want to get old. Thank you for any info you can give me.
Have your removed vascular malformations like hemangioma UNDERNEATH the skin? I have one in my arm, and its been messing me up for YEARs, even though they have done things to it many times.
Hey Doc... glad you’re doing so well. Love your channel. It doesn’t have to cover the whole discussion in your comments but could you make any suggestions on my sons Bachelor? He wants to be an interventional radiologist. I think I shared with you he’s an excellent student and also on scholarships as the kicker for the football team. His question is what bachelor degree would help him the most in preparing for Med School and intervention radiology? I hope you can take just a minute to perhaps give your opinion. He values your opinion very much and watches your channel very closely. Thanks and best wishes
Hey doctor, thanks so much for your videos. I have a question. Once you’re diagnosed with nutcracker syndrome, does it ever go away on its own? Thank you so much!
So will you be joining the Super73 crowd when you move to NYC?? Might be a good idea for a video 👀 “Day in the the life of IR Fellow - cruising NYC on the new super73”
For Physicians or PAs, Can anyone speak to the possibility of discrimination from PA school or Med school from your personal medical problems. I’ve had Chiari (sub-occipital craniotomy) decompression.
Dr. Cellini, love the vids. Im an M4 in the midwest with a devolving fourth year schedule. Would love to ask you a couple Q's about my sitch. If poss, would love to hear how to contact you. Much appreciated
what's the difference between cardiology and vascular? isn't cardiology the heart, and vascular is muscles... isn't the heart a muscle? hahah edit: ok it's blood vessels and stuff, but isn't that still the heart?
Vascular includes all the blood vessels in the body, cardio is primarily about the heart but can include the blood vessels too. There is some degree of overlap
Stop calling this a “vascular surgery” rotation. This is endovascular only. Via IR. Not a surgeon. Not vascular surgery. 5yrs of reading images+1 year of endo skills compared to 5-7 years of a vascular surgeon. Very misleading title. Sincerely, Actual vascular surgeon.

He must have been a great man. Cheers to his memory.

I’m a patient at UAB ✅
Omg! I love this video. I want to become a cardiovascular surgeon and watching this just increases my excitement for the future.
Keep putting in the work!
Me and my gf love your videos. She is an aspiring doctor and I am an aspiring PA. Gender flipped from you and Andriana haha
I'd love a deep dive video on what makes a great nurse from a doctors perspective. Thank you.

Is vein surgery risky? As far as permanent disability phelebectomy?
UNC Hospital! I went to medical school there! It's changed a lot. I do those angioplasty and atherectomy in our outpatient vascular lab. $20k a pop!
Really liked the hallway walkthrough shot at 8:08. Nice way to break up the speaking segments and also sets the scene for the next shot.
I love your videos! I’m an aspiring physician and it’s really cool to explore radiology as a specialty!
☺️☺️
YOOO IM EARLY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, THEY ARE THE REASON WHY I WANT TO BECOME A RADIOLOGIST
Best field in medicine!
Do you have a video explaining all the grades and things you had to get to where you are now?

Great video Dr. Cellini. I recently found your channel from suggested medical videos and I really like you content. Keep it up 👍
Thx! Make sure you subscribe 😉
Dr. Cellini, already did 👍
stay safe when you move to NYC. Also, are you taking the test at the end of residency yet?
Nope, already passed boards. We take them during our 2nd to last year of residency
Yas, vascular surgery, one of my favourite specialties!
from your videos, i started considering radiology which was never in my radar before, thank you

Very informative video , enjoyed it . Future Neurosurgeon , and probably doing my subspecialty in neurovascular surgery.
I really enjoy vlogs like this. Thank you so much for the videos!

Holy cow! I also live in NC and did not realize you worked at the hospital 5 mins down the road from me!! Wild! Good luck moving to NY.
applying for radiology residency this year! Would love an upcoming video on radiology interview tips, especially for online interviews!
I feel like if I worked with you, you would be chill lol
That’s awesome that you did a shout-out to the RN who made your life easier ! Many times what we do goes unnoticed or overlooked. Thanks
Yessss!!!! I wanna see the empty apartment lol you make me want to learn so much about medicine/health field!
Legit just turned on post notifications
Do you have to do surgery to be a radiologist, or is Interventional Radiology just the specific type of radiology you practice?
One of the best intros on here. Fact 😎
Are vein procedures such as evlt and phelebectomy safe and worth doing. Or do the risks outweigh the benefits?
Those stents are huge. Wow. Who would have thought?
Oh this is good. I’m a student nurse on placement on vascular ward

Great valuable information thanks for sharing. Who else is a small RUclipsr trying to grow their channel. We got this no giving up 💪🏽❤️🥰😍.
Can u plzzz do a Q and A with an IR technologist?
Idk why I️ thought you were a radiologist. Any videos on step by step recommendations during Med school to go vascular surgery route?
He is an interventional radiologist
Vascular seems dope
Love the content
I just joined your channel I really like your videos I plan to subscribe and keep watching great videos
I'm studying radiology codes so it's nice to see what you bill for
Have your removed vascular malformations like hemangioma UNDERNEATH the skin? I have one in my arm, and its been messing me up for YEARs, even though they have done things to it many times.
what kind of radiologist will you be? Interventional radiologist?
Hey Doc... glad you’re doing so well. Love your channel. It doesn’t have to cover the whole discussion in your comments but could you make any suggestions on my sons Bachelor? Degree doesn’t matter as long as he completes pre-medical courses during college. Deciding on IR is way too far down the road to worry about
Another awesome video👌🤓
Vascular surgery nurse here from Canada. Wondered what my patients experience when they go to IR.
Great vid!
Hey doctor, thanks so much for your videos. I have a question. Once you’re diagnosed with nutcracker syndrome, does it ever go away on its own? Thank you so much!
Hey, I’m going into Radiology as well and I have to know. What are those glasses and where can I get a pair! Thanks Brother!
I'm an x-ray tech training for vascular and just struggling a little bit, any tips?
So will you be joining the Super73 crowd when you move to NYC?? Might be a good idea for a video 👀 “Day in the the life of IR Fellow - cruising NYC on the new super73”
Those things are dope. Maybe I will get one 🤔
Are you going for INterventional Radiology?
For Physicians or PAs, Can anyone speak to the possibility of discrimination from PA school or Med school from your personal medical problems. I’ve had Chiari (sub-occipital craniotomy) decompression.
Vascular surgery vs IR? Which one?
IR. I’m on a required vascular surgery rotation
How long do you spend on each study?/ How many per shift?
Doc second year is very hard 😭😭😭
Yes it is!
Is vascular a really interesting field
Do you have to have any specialty certifications to be an IR nurse?
Any treatment for venous leg ulcer without surgery
I’m in highschool going into my senior year and was wondering what kind of total schooling you’ve done, like college, med school and maybe residency
4 years college, 4 years med school, 4-5 years for residency. 12 years of schooling minimum to become a radiologist

Best wishes to Sona.
You are such a grate surgeon wish you could make me walk again😭
I am here, notifications caught me lacking
As a man my "hydraulics"down there dont work .vascular perhaps?
Are the endovascular procedures done by the vascular surgeons or IR?
I believe Interventional cardiologist or vascular surgeon.
You live in NC, never knew. I am planning to buy a house in Knightdale
Sir plz tell how to match into competitive us residency as an international medical graduate??
No clue. I’m not an international grad lol
@@DrCellini thanxx sir no problem
6:49 It almost looks as if his head is about to hit that exit sign. Sometimes I could never relate to because I am disgustingly short.
Ok, so you have production staff now.
Is that the same thing that a minimally invasive surgery??
No, but it overlaps.
Vascular surgery is surgery on blood vessels, so many vascular diseases cannot be operated minimally invasive
how much money you make a year?
I am a vascular surgeon trine love from afghanistan❤
How old are you?
I wonder if your followers appreciate how expensive those grafts, sheaths, stents really are $$$$$$
100%
Why are they making doctors work 26 hours ? That kind of scares me bc I feel like mistakes will be madez
It’s just part of the system, sadly
Time for new intro ? Love the content but that music bro
I like you Dr.
Hey Dr hope all is well with you and your beautiful wife be say out there ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thx!
Hi, im thinking of going into dentistry, or should i go into oral surgery. What is the difference?
Don’t know. Not a dentist
You have to become a dentist before you can specialize in oral surgery. Oral surgery is a dental specialty.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
